Back saver
Paid for itself after 1 ride. I have been on a few rides late this year since getting back into it--a couple 100 milers. My back would get achy after a while. Then, I recently went on a 225 mile ride with this new backrest in place. My back was fine. No achiness at all. I could have kept going without a problem. It was easy to install too. I have an ultra classic. Took the seat off and the bracket attached directly to the fender bolts. It was done in 5 minutes. It doesn't have the adjustments that the high dollar backrests have but it can be adjusted front to back. It left my passenger plenty of room too. A friend has one of the $300 dollar rests and my $85 dollar rest did the job just as good. The way I see it is that it gives me over 200 to spend on something else.

Definitely recommend
Hesitated for weeks before buying this. It's so inexpensive I thought that might reflect on the quality of the product. But after lurking the Harley forums for a while and seeing at least 50+ people recommending this seat, I decided to give it a try. Very happy with it. Absolutely would buy it again myself and recommend to others. It was very easy to install, especially if you're already comfortable removing your seat. It did have me scratching my head for a moment because it didn't seem to fit. The seat slot did not line up. There's a little sticker on the post with an arrow to indicate the direction of the driver. Eventually I tried ignoring that sticker, flipped it around and bolted it on the other way and voila.Love it. This makes a big difference for me. No more low grade back aches on longer rides.

Inexpensive but effective.
I bought this to see if I could get a comfortable backrest for half the price of a Harley Davidson backrest. The answer is yes. Easy to install with wrenches and sockets. Had to loosen the "suitcase" to get it into place but the whole installation only took about 30 minutes start to finish.

Excellent product, drivers backrest for Harley Davidson
I received the backrest and was pleasantly surprised on how well made it is as well as how easy it was to install.

Buy this!
This is my second Grasshopper back rest. The quality and comfort is A+ and they confirm your specific motorcycle before shipping to ensure fit. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

Amazing "Geezer Glide" backrest.
This backrest is amazing for the cost. It may not be automatically adjustable, but the mount allows you to reverse it and move the position forward or rearward slightly. It gives great lumbar support which most of us "geezers" need. Compared to the HD price of over #350 for the mount and back rest, you can't go wrong here. It looks good too.

OK
This backrest is ok. It doesn't fit snugly in the mount and will move around quite a bit. It works but I will be upgrading at some point to a better quality backrest

Good upgrade; Much better than I expected
This rates high in the value-for-money category. It's easy to install when you take the seat off and can be put in or removed routinely with no problem. It matches the factory seat pretty well and does what it is supposed to do. The added back support is definitely more comfortable on long rides. Personally, I would be happier if it was just a little thicker so my natural sitting position was just a little closer to the bars, but that's not the product's fault. Others have complained that the metal bar isn't stiff enough, which is true if you want to put all your weight against it, but for regular riding it's fine.
