Great for Polishing an Apple Watch!
I bought this for the purpose of polishing out scratches in my Stainless Steel Apple Watch. This worked perfectly. It's important to have realistic expectations, if your watch (or whatever you're polishing) has deep scratches or gouges, it's not going to take them completely out. However, I had some moderate scratches that came right out with a little bit of effort. I imagine if you really spent a lot of time and energy, this could take some pretty serious scratches out. This made my two-year old Apple Watch look good as new. Added bonus, it didn't do anything to the sapphire crystal front screen or back sensor and Inwas pretty liberal with it, so rest easy knowing it won't damage the watch. Two cloths come in a resealable package. Each of the cloths are individually wrapped (not sealed) in thick clear plastic that, after use, can be folded and re-covered to help extend its usable life. The cloths have just the right amount of polish in them, which makes it easy to complete a job as opposed to dealing with squirting compound from a tube or dipping a cloth in a tub. The cloths will discolor, turning black as you use them, but according to the package, it won't affect the overall use of the cloth. The package also says to add spirit mineral oil if they dry out, which should add some more life to each cloth. The cloths have a pleasant scent (odor) to them, which reminds me of vanilla. This may not be for everyone though, but I didn't find it overwhelming or noxious.Personally, I used black rubber gloves to protect my skin from contacting the polish. Not sure if this is necessary, but I figured I'd do it just to be safe.I buffed my watch out using a standard micro-fiber towel, so I don't see any need to purchase anything special if you already have something like that around the house.

Excellent. Wish they came in larger size cloths
I love these cloths. I began polishing a few smaller items like copper and silver candlestick, small silver box and then a brass lamp. I found wiping the residue off with Windex at the end really got them to shine. Then I decided to tackle this sturdy brass hall tree that probably had 40yrs of tarnish on it. It took four packs and lots of elbow grease honestly but I’m very pleased with the results. I will say that I wish the cloths came in larger sizes with more durable cloths for larger projects such as these. I realize you can get the tin but I’m unclear about whether that simply includes multiple packs of these or larger wipes so I may need to check them out. I got the best success by brandishing the cloth across like a shoe shine motion. The cloths eventually build up a black streak of oil across the item but they keep working and working even once black. Once finished it all wipes away and gleams like new. Apparently you can laquer items to prevent tarnish but I read that ammonia once a week will maintain it so I feel this was worth the effort. It was previously so tarnished I hid it in a closet and now it’s on full display. I bought two more packs to tackle some other silver items like bowls and trays. For very small items these cloths would last a long time. Even once they turn dark they still do their job as long as they still have polish left on them and the packet seals to keep them moist. Makes a tedious job much easier and takes the guesswork out of it. I will say I wore thin gloves as the smell is not great but not too strong and didn’t give me a headache or anything. But the gloves broke and them smell permeated my hands but rubbing a little salt on them and scrubbing got the smell off. I did take out the trash afterwards as it does fill the room a little but it wasn’t like so bad to have to open a bunch of windows or anything sort of subtle and they add some sort of fragrance.

Great to Have on Hand but Wish It was Reusable
Great item to have at home to polish your rings. I wish it was somehow re-useable. Make sure to thoroughly clean all of your jewlery with dish soap or whatever you want to use to get off all the dirt and grime or else this will also wipe those thing but you'd be unable to reuse the section that has the dirt on it.

Great for watches (stainless steel)
Great for stainless steel watches. I use them all the time on my watches. I have a routine of washing my watch with dish soap then drying them. Then I move on to the cape cod polishing cloths for some extra shine and minor scratch removal. They really work great. I usually use a small microfiber towel or a cloth meant for glasses to buff the residue left from the polishing cloth off .

Not my ideal for polishing
Cape Cod Polish Co Metal Polishing Cloths remind me of an old product named Never-Dull. I stopped using it many years ago. Yes, Cape Cod successfully polishes but leaves an oily residue compared to my favorite and the vanilla odor stays on my fingers even after several hand washes. For me, results are equal or better with Semichrome or Flitz, both of these polishes are sold here at Amazon and perfect for polished surfaces. For brushed surfaces such as stainless wrist watch bracelet, a Scotch Bright Pad removes scratches and restores original brush appearance.
