I borrowed this book from the library and impressed with how it handled Schwalm embroidery. The description is very clear and there are different projects for different level of embroiders.

I have just recently become enamoured with all types of whitework and this is a very good beginners book. The sampler that is shown in the book is well illustrated and the directions are very good. I wanted to add this book to my stitch library.

Nice, but it's the 21st century. There's no need to have hand-drawn stitch diagrams, especially if those diagrams look like they were done with a stick dipped in some ink on the back of a grocery bag and then scanned in with machinery from the 80s. If you're an experienced embroider and already have done some cut/drawn thread work, you can probably puzzle them out. But anyone looking to "plug and play" will be disappointed.Contrast books by Yvette Stanton. Yes, they cost twice as much but the diagrams are all done digitally and are very easy to follow.

Lovely book, goes into great detail. Beginners should start slow, but this book is fabulous!

I am a Schwalm so this is exactly what I was looking for.

Llegó a tiempo. Bien empaquetado, sin daño o dobleces. En cuanto al contenido te lleva paso a paso para bordar en esta técnica Schwalm. Ya lo tenía yo en versión digital, pero es incomparable tener la versión física. Pasta blanda. Buenas imágenes en color y blanco y negro. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

I had a Schwalm pattern to do but no instructions so I bought this with a view to using it as a teaching aid. Christine Bishop delivered on all levels, she has combined some delightful designs with good clear and easy to understand and follow instructions, as well as giving you the encouragement to go on and create your own designs. This will definitely be a book to use again and again.
