BLUE Coloring Mix For Epoxy Gluing Of Granite Slabs

You cannot beat the price and the color is a "what you see is what you get" when I mixed it with the epoxy I purchased from the local hobby store. I would recommend buying and using frogger or similar tape to set-off the area on the countertop where you will be applying the filler you make. I only needed one small drop of the coloring mix as the hole I filled was not that deep. Also, because this product is so inexpensive I would probably buy two or three different colors to get an even closer match to the color of the granite. The name of the epoxy I mixed with this product is called "5 Quick Cure" because the epoxy and hardener set in 5 minutes.

I purchased this tube of cream coloring paste to repair 4 chipped ivory piano keys on a used piano we recently purchased. For the repair, I squeezed out only about a pea-sized amount on some paper to try to absorb as much of the solvent in the paste as possible. Then I mixed a very small amount of this with some 5 minute quick set epoxy--you really only need a very small amount to turn the epoxy very thoroughly cream colored. The epoxy itself is a pale translucent yellow, but it didn't seem to significantly alter the cream colored hue any. The result was an almost perfect color match with the ivory keys.I had taped up the keys earlier and taped a thin piece of glass (microscope slide) wrapped in wax paper under the overhanging front edges of the keys to provide a shelf for the epoxy to sit on. I applied the epoxy carefully, filling up the chipped areas with plenty of excess epoxy. After letting the epoxy harden for 15-20 mins, I removed the tape and glass underneath. After another 1-2 hours, the epoxy is still somewhat pliable and I used a sharp knife to roughly trim the epoxy around the contours of the keys. Then I let the epoxy fully cure and harden for 24 hours.Next day I carefully sanded down the epoxy smooth with the contours of the keys, and used a foam polishing block to polish it very smooth. The result looks better than I had imagined. For 3 of the keys with smaller chips it blends so well that you can't tell there is even a repair unless you look very closely under good light. The fourth key had half of the front edge chipped off, and so the repair is much larger and more easily noticed, but still is not noticeable unless you are looking for it. The epoxy is now very smooth and hard and feels a close match to the ivory. Perfect repair, and looks better IMO than swapping out the whole ivory with a replacement, which is almost impossible to color match with the rest of the keys.

I purchased the white color and it worked well for coloring the epoxy. I do recommend testing it first to make sure you are able to get the color you want, and just a tiny bit of colorant goes a long way.

Was a little watery when I opened the tube but i shook it up and worked fine. like the price.

I wanted to use this as a mix with porcelain repair paint. I asked the question if that would work. Well, it doesn't. It didn't mix well with the porcelain epoxy and this particular tube is very thick. It wasn't this thick the last tube I purchased. This tube is a nice chocolate brown. I keep saying 'this tube....' because I'm getting the impression that each tube has a slightly different hue.

Ordered the "brown" coloring and it is red. Mix a little and you get pink. It shouldn't be advertised as brown.

The color when mixed was more of a burgundy color. I was looking for more a orange tint brown. I was not able to use it.

OK, I am NOT a professional, so I did not use this product 100% properly, it did not mix the way it should, and therefore paint form the top of e-proxy glue melted in the sun, damaging my clothing. I am NOT saying I knew what I was doing, HOWEVER no directions were send to me in the package, seller persists that they were emailed and there was a card in the package, I had NONE! Better luck to the next purchaser, email I received was rude, which I really did not appreciate. Terrible customer service, once again hope you have better luck with this product. So my overall rating will be on a total purchase experience with this...best of luck to everyone.
