GREAT product in my not-so-humble opinion.
Can not say enough good things abou this.GREAT retirement item since I no longer have any reason to keep up with what day it is.Keeps great time, have not had to adjust it in six months.Does take some doing getting it to hang even.Do not know what the people who complain about it being loud are hearing, I am a very light sleeper and when napping in the room where I have it, it has not woken me.

disappointed
OK. so i bought this clock. I live in sweden. So at first i had to pay the shipping for like 80 dollars, and then additional 100 dollars when i went to get it out here in the local post office in sweden. 180 dollars for shipping? wtf?But ok, that's maybe not the clocks fault. But it didn't even work.. The small clock that shows time works, but the flipping numbers are broken. So i send an email back to amazon with this info. They contacted the producers for me. So I got an answer that i'll should send it back. So i answered and told them about the situation. If i should send it back, it would cost additional 180 dollars for me. And then (even if they send the clock for free with shipping included), i would still have to pay 100 dollars to get the package out in sweden.So... 180 + 180 + 100 = 460 dollars. JUST FOR THE SHIPPING. WHAT??? THE CLOCK DID JUST COST 80 DOLLARS FOR GODS SAKEThe worst? I have never got an email back from the producers. Thanks for that.

Perfect
I ordered this for my 96 year old mother in law, and she just loves it. It works perfectly, looks nice near her desk, and of course easy for her to read and see. We were afraid it would too garish, but it looks very nice. Has made a big difference for her.

Overall a good product
This is a good product that does the job it is supposed to do.PRO:Calendar features works.Display is large and clear.Color coding of weekends makes it look nice.CONS:1. It makes a fairly loud noise 4 times during the day that it can interrupt the conversation or wake up a light sleeper. This happens at 11:30 and 12:00 (AM and PM) during the day.2. You have to manually change the date in months that do not have 31 days. I had another calendar clock that broke after falling down from the wall. It was programmed to automatically adjust dates for all months.3. The year is not a flipping feature. It invloves manually changing the numbers once every year. Not a big deal but the product gives wrong impression from picture.4. Finally, the weekday and the date displays are not so clean as in the picture. They have hinges that make them look "broken".5. The wall hangs on a single hook/nail and can get crooked at times. It is true for any hanging item. A double sided tape at the back does the job.Overall, a functional product.

Wall Hanging Flip Clock
This is a wonderful idea. My Mother-in-law has Dementia and we were having problems with her being confused about what "day" it was. With this clock she no longer has this problem. We are so excited that this has solved one of our problems. Great idea for old and young. Thanks for this idea!

Not Suitable for Older People or Those with Dementia.
We bought this clock for our aging parents who are showing early signs of dementia. Turns out to be way too complex for someone with memory problems. The year is a plastic insert, not digital. You have to intervene manually for months with 30 days. For leap year, the instructions say to remove the batteries for a day and reset the clock manually. Are you kidding? These people can't remember what day it is! How do you expect them to do that? There are some good products out there - this isn't one of them!

I love these calendar clocks
I love these calendar clocks. This is the second one I've purchased for my mother, who has started to have some memory loss and likes to quickly see the day and date. They're big and easy to see from a distance and have never had a fault. The month, day and number of day are flip mechanisms like the clocks that used to be everywhere in the 1970's. We've used these calendar clocks for 4 years and have had the opportunity to change the year each new year using the little drawer of numbers that is built into the back of the clock and the numbers are packed in a neat plastic snap clear-view bag in the drawer. The clocks have never had a battery problem, but we change them after 15 or 16 months just to make sure.

Working now after going through issues. Technical issues
On the third day got it working correctly. Would not purchase again. The day of the week flaps don't fall down when they should. They hang up. Not good quality control.1. You don't see it, the perimeter around the clock is a big white band about 1 1/2 inches or maybe 2 inches wide. This is a white clock with a black face.On of the selection criteria was that we thought it would work well.2. To get the dial clock to work, I purposely inserted the battery backward. I did it on a hunch.3. I finally got it to work by just letting the Saturday PM flap hang up and be hanging out there and tilted out. When the next day came, it fell down with the next flap and since then it seems to be working.Took multiple days to get to work out the bugs. Now that it is working it is wonderful. A glance from my desk and I see the date, day of the week, time, and it is really convenient. When you retire, you don't have the same cycles of work and weekends and you will find your internal clock will need help. Saturday flaps are green, Sunday is read and days of the week are black. So there is really good reinforcement of weekends and weekdays.
