Detachable One-Piece Backrest Tall Sissy Bar For Harley Fatboy Softail 06-17

This sissy bar with backrest and hardware appears to be great deal from price point. It appears to be a copy of what HD sells at half the price. But the quality of the sissy bar is also 50% of what you would normally expecting. Not only it is matte black as said in the description, but it also very course to touch. Looks like they just welded and painted it without any amount of sand blasting. You would not want to touch it with your bare hands it is so rough. Forget about your wife or girlfriend sitting on the back seat touching. Same goes for the quality of the included hardware. The slots that slide into the rubber boots are way too hard to slide in or out.To make things even more complicated for me (may not matter to other HD models), the mounting bracket gets too close to turn indicators for my model (2014 Fatboy Lo) as shown in the attached picture.I am still trying to make up my mind if I want to return the item or do some labor to make it work. I would need to do the following:- file or grind the mounting slots so that they are tight but not too hard to put it on and take off the mounting boots.- slice about a 1/4" from the backend of the side plate so that it does not hit the turning indicator (someone has done it and posted a youtube video)- sand it a little to remove the roughness and spray paint with proper black finish.I don't expect a whole lot of quality from China made stuff. But it does not have to be this low. Very disappointed.
