Difficult to Open
This does its intended job. BUT, it is self-locking, and that lock is VERY difficult to release. It's a little lever in between the handles. I'm a small woman with small hands and I can barely get my pinky in to release it, idk how a large man could do this. It's best to have a screw driver around to release the lock than try to jam your fingers in.

Excellent tool - more results to follow.
I purchased these crimpers to facilitate a partial re-wiring of my boat. After delivery, I liked the construction of the tool, there seemed to be no "side play" when crimping which I have experienced with poorer quality tools. The crimps I have already done with the tool are sharp, well-defined and definitely apply sufficient pressure on the wire to hold properly - especially in a marine environment. While I have only performed test crimps at the moment, I will update this report after I commence the partial re-wiring project. Some of the areas to be re-wired are very difficult to reach and the capabilities of this tool will certainly be tested at that time.

It squeezes stuff
Not a particular fan of the way these crimp but apparently these are what is needed for crimps that have heat shrink on them. Wire does seem to stay crimped in the crimp. I don’t foresee any problem with the tool itself.

Need instructions
This is a good product and does a good job of crimping - BUT, it would be nice if it came with instructions. Once I figured it out it was fine but anyone not mechanically inclined would probably find it useless.

Learning crimp size adjustments.
At first I thought I bought the wrong size tool because I put to big of connecter in and couldn't get the thing to ratchet. Then I got the brilliant idea, read the instructions, once I learned how to adjust the tool it worked Great. The crimp on the connectors were solid. I am restoring a 1978 CJ-7 and plan on replacing all electrical connections and heat shrinking everything with Marine grade products. So I have a lot of crimping to do, this tool will make things much easier. Thank You !

Very good quality and work great!
Had a pair of these type crimpers (different brand), but needed a second set. I ordered these from Anode and once I had a chance to compare the two the Anode brand is much higher quality. They work as advertised and I am very pleased with my purchase. Highly recommend!

High quality crimper
Very well made and easy to use. The ratcheting design is great for doing a lot of crimp connectors. I like the smooth crimp jaws as this does not break the connector insulation when crimping. Using this tool to redo a lot of electrical connections on my old Corvette. Very handy.
