Wanyi 16 Inches 932℉/500℃ Leather Welding Gloves for Extreme Heat Resistance

Ok, this is a really unorthodox review. I get these are welding gloves. I get they are for heat resistance. But I bought them because of the great price and deal. They are Kevlar lined gloves, meant for heat protection. Well, Kevlar is also used for cut protection. And at this price, kevlar lined real leather gloves are a no brainer for everything you'd want them for.In my case, I was looking for dog bite protection gloves. Looked at the prices for existing ones sold for that purpose, and then started looking at other Kevlar lined gloves to see if I could find them cheaper. These were cheaper. And... now that I have them, better.They are LARGE. I mean REALLY large. Definitely men's large hand size. A woman wearing these is like wearing oven mitts. You can probably use these for oven mitts to protect your arms from oven side burns too, which is not a bad idea. They come right up to my elbow.I got them for my husband to hold my dog while I cut his nails. No amount of training, love, attention, petting, desensitizing has disuaded him from biting when someone does it. Muzzle doesn't work, there is no muzzle made that can hold him in it. The groomer that used to cut his nails refuses to do it anymore. He bites when his nails are cut. Period. Every time now (otherwise he's a COMPLETE angel). I got my husband these, because he can't seem to hold without getting bit. This WORKS! There's room in the glove for padded sleeves if you need em (the sleeves are NOT padded).So this is not a helpful review for the welding or the temperature. But, these gloves have other uses.Because mine's the first review, I wanted to mention that I found these searching for anti-bite gloves on Amazon, and probably since they had no reviews, the price was GREAT, and I snagged em, and they are exactly what I needed! Ha! Get em before the price goes up!!

This is a great pair of gloves for the hobbies. The smell is natural it comes from the dying process. The leather is very thick and offers great protection. My hand measures 10 inches round which makes my glove size a 2xl. This glove fits snug and give great movement with no restrictions. Remember this is leather care fit it and it will last a very long time like your car seats or your leather jacket which requires treatment to be supple

Great gloves that fit well. I use them to load my wood burning fireplace and they have held up well. I like the longer 16” as they protect more than just your hands and wrist. They hold up to the heat well and I would definitely recommend them. The only reason it’s a 4 star and not 5 is I wish the cuffs were a little larger to fit over a coat better, but still doable.

I bought these gloves to adjust and add wood to my fireplace. When looking for gloves, I wanted a pair that could grab logs and coals, without fear of heat coming through. After a few fires, I can report that these are indeed heat proof enough for what I need. While wearing these gloves, I was able to adjust logs no problem and even scoop hot coals. I found that if you hold the log for about 5-10 seconds, you will start to feel the heat. However, I'm not sure why you'd want to hold a log that's on fire for any longer than that. They also seem durable and have shown no wear or tear after about 10 fires.Overall, I'd recommend these gloves if you're looking for a pair to use with a fireplace or any type of wood fire.

I use this when moving my Charcoal chimney to my bbq grill. Also if the fire is too hot I use it with tongs to move food around. Does a great job on protecting my hands/arms from getting scorch. The gloves feel hefty and durable. I really like them. Should last me for quite a long time.

Believe it or not I got them for our dog who is teething and she loved fighting with gloves these are awesome and I am a welder and they would be awesome for welding to heavy duty feel great look good I don't think you're wrong

These bad boys are perfect. You can still feel the heat of a welder, or rod, when welding, but the heat absorption is fantastic. The double set of stitching helps the integrity of the gloves stay together and the extra length of the gloves definitely helps keep the arms safe from excess heat and sparks when welding/grinding.Perfect product and will definitely order again for another set.
