Wow... it works!
I too have immune disorder, in my 50's, survivor etc. My doctor put me on this to help with Cognitive support + it fights free radical scavengers and supports Mitochondrial Function! Thank you! I could feel the difference after a few weeks. Mentally sharper and not as forgetful! My energy is better, but I also take Doctors Best Ulta Cordyceps Plus - Wow won't be without out that... it's like coffe without the jitters! Amazing energy! Also Eleuthero Root aka Siberian Ginseng Vitacost brand. This gives me energy and lung support along w many other benefits.Overall I am very pleased with NOW PQQ! I have purchased my second bottle and on a roll :) to learn more go to their site or Google; "PQQ."What is nice about the Now brand is they have mixed their formula so you get maximum absorbency of PQQ by the adding the other ingredients. Which when you do the research you will find is needed for PQQ to do the best job possible.I read some comments that people are adding supplements to help... but that maybe over kill and unnecessary? Checking with a doctor and getting regular bloodwork to make sure your Balanced and not over doing it - is extremely important! Self help is a great thing, but being sure your not doing damage along the way is number 1!Hope this helps? Enjoy the alertness :) it's a wonderful thing!

Works for me!
I had to quit taking my Lipitor because it led to that muscle pain that people frequently develop overtime. I talked to my brother-in-law,a pharmacist, and I said is there anything I can do because I have heart problems and really need the Statin and he said yeah take this product PQQ for like three months so that you build the stuff back up in your mitochondria and then take one every single day when you take your Statin. I tried what he said and I went back on my statin and I’ve been back on them for three years and haven’t had the muscle problem. I just had my heart check with my cardiologist and he said the my arteries are still clean so that’s good. I couldn’t take the Statin without the PQQ, but with it, I can. That’s just my own personal experience. I don’t know anything about the science.

Works for me
Flavorless easy to swallow pills. I do get a slight boost of energy. But mostly I get a afternoon perk. I can focus better during the mid afternoon slump.

Vitamins
My doctor told me to use this. Check with a professional before taking any pills or vitamins. The pill was a good value for the money. It's not so big that you have trouble swallowing.

Small capsule - read the ingredients
My cardiologist recommended taking PQQ as support for cardiovascular support and mitochondrial biogenesis. Unlike several other brands, this one carries a significant dose of B12 [1000mcg], which is generally higher than most recommended doses. Also included is about 30mg of CoQ10, which is better than nothing, but not very high relative to dosages available in CoQ10 tablets, which is usually about 200mg.I found this brand to be perfectly suitable for my needs. Easy to swallow as it is quite a small capsule. I've also been taking NOW supplements for many years and the quality has always been good and a good price value. I've just found my new PQQ supplier.

Brain Support - Clear Mind
I take this with fruit in the mornings! Its great and I haven't had any side effects yet. I have been noticing a small headache at the end of day near 7:00pm. I am not sure if this is because of lack of water or the Supplement. Its been 2 weeks now. I noticed better brain activity after the first week and half.

Hmm.. :\
(Per my update below, PQQ CAN cross the BBB barrier and does likely exert at least SOME effect on human brains through oral supplementation. But I would NOT RECOMMEND them because, while POSSIBLY effective, I did not experience any noticeable benefit and cannot justify the cost-to-benefit ratio.)I've discovered you really have to check the bioavailability of supplements which is central to their effectiveness. Whether they can be absorbed, how they're metabolized and if they can interact with cells or reach their intended destination.Still, this also contains some CoQ10 at 30mg which I think is just as good as ubiquinol since ubiquinol is converted to ubiquinone (CoQ10) in the stomach anyways and, in the body, the forms are constantly converting back and forth between the two types or semiquinone. Any conferred differences with CoQ10 and ubiquinol would likely be issues with absorption or quality. If you feel anything significant while taking this, it's probably the Acetyl-L-Carnitine which assists mitochondrial processes and gives me a s̶t̶r̶a̶n̶g̶e̶,̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶a̶s̶s̶o̶c̶i̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶u̶z̶z̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶5̶0̶0̶m̶g̶+. 2̶0̶0̶m̶g̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶p̶e̶r̶f̶e̶c̶t̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶m̶o̶s̶t̶ ̶p̶e̶o̶p̶l̶e.(Taking a larger dose of ALCAR is not inconceivable and I no longer seem to experience the strange buzz from ALCAR, which was unrelated to this supplement, beyond its slight inclusion in the formulation, anyways. For the record, I experienced no "strange buzz" while taking this, but also no perceptible positive effect either.)Update - December 30th, 2016: Though PQQ might work in a subtle manner, I expected more immediate and noticeable effects and some sort of perceptible effectiveness, none of which I experienced and this is the reason I gave it 3 stars. I did not give my rating based on studies, I was simply trying to figure out why I had not experienced anything noticeable, after-the-fact.That said, after reviewing more studies (which I made several long-winded, inconsequential statements about in the comments below) I have come to believe PQQ does reliably cross the blood-brain barrier, even through oral ingestion, but that the effect of supplementation to increase the level of PQQ, in the brain, is still quite minimal in both its magnitude and duration of its peak (the onset of which seems fairly quick actually). That such a small amount might reach the brain, however, does not necessarily mean it is ineffective. In a study, it did exert its alleged measurable cognitive benefits at the once daily dose of 20mg (but this effect was most significant for those with a prior cognitive deficit). Also, in general and not specifically related to PQQ, sometimes micro doses can exert beneficial responses and larger doses can exert paradoxical (possibly opposite) effects. And though my belief is that more PQQ would be better, I have no valid qualification for such a statement, one way or the other. Also, though it states it is for "cognitive support" perhaps this is not actually mediated in the brain but elsewhere in the body (possibly through immune system modulation?)So, I don't want to totally discourage users from its purchase but it is not for me.
