BOUGHT FOR MY PATIO
The wood quality is good for the price--would not over tighten bolts as it is kiln dried and might easily split where the holes are drilled and counter sunk for the bolt heads. Take care if you use a power drill/driver to assemble. Assembly took me about 25 minutes with the tools pictured. Opened the box carefully with the knife. Used a medium sized Crescent to hold the nut and turned bolt head with Philips head driver. Clear instruction sheet. This is not a really heavy item but bulky and a little awkward to handle. Finished product looks good and had all corners eased with a nice sanded surface all over. I bought the unpainted one and will follow the instructions for painting after it has climatized to our unpredictable Ohio weather for a couple weeks. Nice buy for my patio for some cheap, extra seating.

Good Luck - You'll Probably Need It
EDIT: I did locate the company name and location on the instruction sheet and contacted them via their website. I heard back within an hour or two and it looks like they are going to send me a replacement bolt. Will upgrade the stars on this review if this works out, but they still really need to work on those instructions. If you've had issues with this bench that Amazon couldn't resolve, I'd say it's worth a try to contact the Shine company in Chico, CA, for a possible resolution. If accurate instructions had been included, it would've saved me the hour I spent assembling, unassembling and reassembling this bench! Really no excuse to not include either on the diagram or in written instructions that the legs have to be positioned with the groove facing either front or back - NOT to either side. But I figured it out after the fact and slogged thru. Some of the holes matched up fine and about half of them I had to wrestle with, but finally got them all in until I got to last bolt. The last bolt had metal burrs all over it and even after filing on it, it wouldn't thread into the nut At this point am really not crazy about taking it apart AGAIN and trying to re-box it and schlep to UPS for return. I haven't found a way to message the seller yet thru Amazonto see about getting a replacement bolt, and nothing I have on hand matches. I guess I'm left to trying to find something at the hardware store. Really, there's no excuse for all the hassle, especially for the price. I wouldn't buy this again. If you do get it anyway, a power screwdriver will help a lot - there are 4 bolts for each leg plus two on each crossbar brace piece. Good luck.

Very disappointed
This is not the one i wanted but the other one was out of stock. This one was more expensive. It was easy to put together but the first time i sat on it i noticed the paint was chipping off. What a disappointed. Do not think it will last through a winter on our front door area. It was expensive as well. But looks great from a distance. I am going to buy some spray paint and give it a coat of paint before the winter season. Would never buy it again. Too big of a pain to return.

Good light duty bench for the price
I have purchased 3 of these (4ft) and will most likely buy a 4th. My application is a bit different as they are being used as seating in a 7'x10' concrete storm shelter and will never be exposed to the elements. (And hopefully will see very little use ;-)) The only constructive comment I would offer to the manufacturer is to double check their hole template for the legs. On every one there is a 1/4" gap that while each one assembled ok it does add uneccessary stress when tighten the legs down. And yes I tried them in different combinations for best fit to each corner. It was was not enough to separate the two leg pieces or crack them. A simple solution to this would be to elongate the bolt holes on the long side of the bench. While not an issue for me it could be a factor over time for those using these outside. I've included a picture that I hope is clear. All-in-all I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great buy and definitely worth the price.
I love this bench. I had to order two to make the length of my deck rail but they look and blend just find, especially once I find a long pillow for top. The seating portion has a slight dip that makes the bench comfortable. I like that. I am close to 300 lbs and the bench made me feel comfortable and sturdy. Lastly, the assembling was SUPER easy....seriously. It was just put the screws and washers in the hole and tighten. Glad I bought it versus those other more expensive benches here on Amazon.

Great Little Bench
This bench looks great and works nicely with our patio table. It went together very easily. I saw some reviews where people said the holes didn't line up right and they had problems with the assembly. That is because they have zero DIY skills and don't know what they are doing. They probably never built with Legos as a kid. All the pieces on the bench fit together fine. The directions were not great, but they were good enough to figure it out with a little common sense.

Great Bench
Very easy to assemble and a very sturdy bench. We did a waterproof stain and placed the bench on the front porch. It is an ideal height for us because it is below the lower margin of the front window. Overall the bench is a higher quality than I expected. I recommend without reservation

Rough, Inconsistent color, disappointed
The wood on these has been stained but the board don't seem like they were sanded before they stained them so they have rough edges. They are VERY dark in color. I bought two and the colors are totally different as well. There are also tiny bumps under the stain, I assume other places where they were not sanded properly. On some of the board the stain ends, where it looks like someone literally did not take the time to go all the way to the end.
