Good value for money
Easy to set up and it works. I could only get the water about three quarters up the tube by using my thumb only. I had to tap it several times with the palm of my hand to get the water flowing, but maybe I don't have a very strong thumb. I found it best to clamp the outlet hose to the rim of the bucket, (using the supplied clamp), as close to the end of the hose as you can. I didn't find the flow adjuster was needed as the water doesn't come out very fast, although fast enough. It isn't easy to connect the extension tube, if you need it, because it is a very tight fit. I tried it and the extension tube fell off. But all in all, I am pleased with the siphon and would recommend.

Best syphon yet...
This is my 3rd different type of syphon and it's a winner. The little pumpy thing actually works! The extention tube is handy but I didnt need it as each of the 2 tubes is 40cm which is the hight of my tank. The only negative is the wide mouthed bit actually sucks less due to it funneling into a narrow 8mm tip where it joints onto the tube. That being said it works great without the adaption and water changes are quick and simple with help of the little clip to pinch the tube acting as a stop.

Works great for expensive sand substrate.
Great for Sand. Suction device is a bit janky but it worked for me to clean sand and change out water better than the Nicrew automatic which won't clean sand at all without eating it. The hose is good and easier to use than a manual siphon.A little expensive for what it is but if you have expensive substrate like fluorite sand this is a good cleaner for it - it has a shrimp guard and the long clear tube will lift sand but not remove it. I had no problem starting flow in a 50cm high tank with the single tube. Didn't try it with both but I imagine the pump would do ok.I'm returning the Nicrew automatic and keeping this.

Tips on use
I've left it a few weeks after purchasing to do the review and I'm glad I did. At first I really struggled to get the water pumping through and I felt it was a useless device, HOWEVER, after taking the gravel nozzle off it's a BREEZE! I no longer use the nozzle. If gravel sucks up it only sucks a little way and with a little knock on the side of the tank the gravel falls back out easily. The suction power is amazing now and just a few pumps gets it going. I have a huge tank and just one 20 year old goldfish. He's a family member and it's great I can look after him so much easier. I love the tube length and the whole device is very easy to manipulate around the tank. I would highly recommend ๐

Emptys water eventually but does NOT clean.
After figuring out how it worked it took a while to get the water flowing through it. Im not sure if an actual filter is missing from mine but the water was definitely no cleaner after use. For emptying tanks i can see its use but for 'cleaning' its not that good. Ianaged to bodge in a coffee filter and that did help clean up the crap.

Not what I hoped for removes water pretty well rubbish cleaning the gravel and tank.
The end so called scraper part provided was useless good for not sucking up the fish no good for cleaning the tank ,once you get the flow going about 6 squeezes for me the flow was good I just found the experience fiddly for me and bits were floating around in the tank it mainly stirred up the gravel etc didn't clean it so ended up removing the gravel etc and hand cleaning it all best just to use to remove dirty water in my opinion beats endless jugs but I am disappointed with it to be honest.

Sad - worked once and that was that
This seemed very easy to use - relatively easy to set up BUT having used it just once in my smaller tank I then tried to use it in my larger tank and no matter how long or how hard I tried to pump the top part there appeared to be an air lock....I tried to get rid of that but essentially it's not got a strong enough pump [given it's manual] to function on the extended pipes. I've yet to try it again in my smaller tank but I've had a load of these gravel cleaners and this is the first time I've had this issue...sadly I'll need to get another one!!!!
