I got this tape to create a paper Dressmaker's Dummy and it worked fabulously well. I got 2 rolls, but 1 was more than enough - I had extra leftover. The photo is deceptive in a good way - the roll looks HUGE when you receive it! I pre-cut piles of pieces in varying lengths, and had my helper wrap them around my torso. I wore a sacrificial long sleeve Tshirt of thin material and this tape stuck to it very well. It only required 3 layers for the form to be stiff enough to hold shape and be carefully cut off. We impressed a line down my spine to help it fold there, then cut down the middle front. It was easy to use more tape to put the form back together. The next day form is completely dry, and additional layers can be added to the interior for strength. The resulting dressmakers form is strong, stiff, lightweight.I am glad I got a second roll so I can make another dressmaker form for my daughter.

Excellent product!
Gummed paper tape is becoming hard to find. A friend of mine and I used this product to make a customized dressmaker's form for me (the internet has many sets of instructions for this). I am a plus-sized woman with looong legs, a very short waist, and my bust is quite large, so we ordered two rolls of tape with the idea that we'd make a form for me, and if it worked as we expected, we'd order more and make one for her. We finished my form with half a roll of tape to spare and still have more than enough to make hers. Added benefits are that this shipping tape is much less expensive than the regular cellophane-type that has become so widely used, and I suspect that the paper tape is better for the environment than the plastic stuff.

just what I wanted, works fine, some things could be improved
Works just about perfectly, and as far as I know completely recyclable so whoever receives it can put packaging directly in paper recycling bin without removing plastic, etc. When it arrived it was a bit out of shape, somewhat oval. Slightly annoying, but it fully rounded itself out after a few weeks, so still 4 stars. There was no round paper core in the center - no big deal, and less waste anyway.I use a wet cloth to dampen it - I don't have a dispenser with sponge. It requires more water than you might expect. Don't try licking it, that won't wet it enough, though maybe in an emergency you might have the patience.Easy to tear with your hands, or cut with scissors if you want a clean look to the package. It's also especially good for closing bags of paper that are going to recycling. While I recycle boxes that have fiber-reinforced paper. Fiber-reinforced tape is hard to tear cleanly with your hands, and I have some doubts about recycling fiber-reinforced tape anyway.

It's annoying that someone gave this one star because it's not reinforced so it's not the best for packages... Like... how did you not know that before buying??This works perfectly well!!! If it's not sticking (like someone else said) then you are putting too much water and wiping too hard and it's taking away the glue.I have had NO issues with this! I use it for packaging and for stretching my watercolor paper!

Didn't buy to use as tape. I use it for diy frownies
Potato starch for glue and natural paper. I cut this up into triangles for DIY frownies. One roll for a lifetime! Super cheap and zero waste because these can go in the compost pile. But of course you can use it for tape as intended

Tried it as a Frownies dupe - Frownies dupe review only
Does NOT work for me. I can see how it's similar type of stuff, and I tried it for almost a month. It didn't smooth out my forehead wrinkles at all like Frownies does, in the mornings it was just hanging off my face, and sometimes even created new lines/marks. Now I have this giant roll of something I have no idea what it's actually for. So yeah, don't bother with that review of a Frownies dupe. Frownies are expensive for what it is but they do help!

It stuck to the board well enough but that doesn't do any good if it doesn't stick to the paper properly
I bought this to use with some hard board for stretching my lighter weight watercoloring paper prior to painting. I have a feeling it's going to last me a very long time. I've used it twice, and both times the tape failed to stick to the paper. It stuck to the board well enough but that doesn't do any good if it doesn't stick to the paper, which still buckled and warped upon drying. It may be due to operator error, I suppose. I haven't given up yet; I'll keep trying, and update my review if things improve. In terms of value for money, assuming the product sticks as intended, it's great. In terms of pennies per foot, you can't beat it. You have to do a lot of large paintings to get through 600 feet of this stuff. Would I buy it again? RIght now, I'd have to say no, but only because I haven't gotten it to work properly for me yet. If I get the knack of it, I definitely would.

Not just for sealing packages
So this may seem odd, but we did not use this to seal packages for shipping, Instead, we used it to create a body double for a seamstress so she could make an competition dress for Irish step dancing to be used at the world championships. To that end, it worked great! Very sticky when wet, dried and cured fast, and stayed stable through shipping of the mannequin. Highly recommended!
