Great read along book.
I got this book as a Kwanzaa gift for my son. Its a great read along book, and an awesome way to reiterate the African Culture to children The stories leave room for conversation and dialogue between the adult and child, and often after reading these stories my son and God children have many questions. Its a good way to pass the morals and truths of our ancestors on to our children. Id recommend to people of any color but most definitely to families of African descent and heritage.

Very entertaining and interesting. A mental trip into a different world. Maybe I didn't understand sometimes the play of words in the translation into English, but I felt there were quite a few spelling errors.

VERY NICE AFRICAN FOLK TALES
I would completely understand if those that are not from Africa don't find this book interesting. This book took me back to my childhood days, when my Grand Parents would visit from the Village (back in the 1970s and 1980s). After Supper, we would all gather around them, and they would tell us folk tales and stories (mostly about the tortoise and his craftiness and tricks). This book brought back those interesting memories and I am now able to tell my children stories from my childhood.

Easy to read and intriguing stories.
I like this book because it is an easy read. My niece is 7 years old and reads it without any difficulty. It is also great for teaching little parables and values. When she read the book, even my 59 year old dad was impressed with the stories.

A good read
My granddaughters are fascinated by Africa because we live in South Africa and they have visited many times although they are only 8 and 9. So they loved this book

This book is really a gem
It might be useful to discuss the fairy tale when you’ve finished it.Ask the kid what they liked most and least, explain whatever words they don’t know, and identify positive and negative characters.I definitely recommend it.

Seller was Great!! But disappointed in the book.😒
I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the book. I was hoping for some vibrant illustrations, There are some line drawings. I purchased this for my friend's son, who are both in Africa. We were hoping that reading him a bedtime story about tales from his homeland would make him want to learn to read English. He can speak it but sparingly. I haven't read it yet. I may love this book but if I were in a book store, I wouldn't give this book a second glance. The size is small about 5"x8" and only 1/2 cm thick. I'm almost embarrassed to send it.The seller was great!! The shipping was prompt and the packaging was good also. I will order from them again. In fact, I think I have before this.

Afrikan Tales
A very good book of short Afrikan stories for a decent price as well. It is well written for children and makes a good bed-time reading book. The stories are short and concise enabling children to narrate these stories to others.
