FFsense Turkish Towel - 100% Cotton, 39 x 79 Extra Large, Quick Dry, Ultra Soft and Eco Friendly Bath and Beach Fouta Towel - Emerald

I've been using a lighter version of Turkish towels for the past couple of years, primarily to save water (at the time California was in the midst of an historic drought, a strange thought standing in the damp present moment). These towels are a bit thicker, and dry oneself slightly better (they don't end up quite as soaked as the thinner versions). And they're very nice looking.A note as to the color: On my Amazon page, what comes up as the representative image is what I'd call a gray hue. It's listed as green (but not the light green also available). I wanted gray (they wrote back to say gray is out of stock til June). Beneath the bright fluorescent lights at the laundromat, they were indeed a lovely greenish-gray. In the light of my bath (greatly subdued from anything remotely bright) they appear more of a blueish gray. In any event, I'm quite happy with the color (all of them in every light) but do know that what looks gray in the picture isn't, really.So, if you haven't been using Turkish towels, the question is why would you? These left my body dry, whereas the thinner versions for sale elsewhere on the site leave me a touch damp, to air dry (in seconds). If you don't want to use a towel more than once, but don't like washing a load of towels, especially huge, thick, bath sheets, these will be a relief. If you live in a place where water is an issue; if you pay your own water bill and are looking to save money; if you have septic tank issues; any or all of the above would make a switch from super absorbent terry to Turkish practical. These will make the transition a bit easier as they actually dry you completely.As mentioned, I went for the gray-green; I have an assortment of colors which I find so very cheerful---and they don't fade at all. In two years they appear just as lovely to see stacked or hanging up as they did when new---and unlike terry, they don't get stiff with washing (I don't like fabric softeners).Another consideration: Given their thin-ness, they are easy to pack for the beach or pool and large enough to wrap most of the heftier Americans for the pool/beach-side bar/cafe. The darker ones add a touch of elegance with their color and cut. I like Turkish towels to begin with, and I find these particular ones to be even better.

So it is pretty, lightweight, and very big. I brought it to an outdoor music event and have used it as a pashmina when it got cold. After washing and drying it in the dryer multiple times however, it STILL leaves me covered in lint any time I use it after a shower. I got the black towels so not only does it feel awful but then gets black lint everywhere. I feel like I need another shower afterwards. I would not recommend them as towels unfortunately.

I love these Turkish towels! They are soft, sturdy and dry very quickly.I use them as both bath towels and beach towels. The take up less space in my beach bag and are bigger than most other beach towels. I like them so much I think I have at least 6 of them now and plan on ordering some more!

I have been looking a long time for a soft, lightweight fabric to use in the summer throw on my bed. I wanted something small, lightweight, soft and pretty. This is all of that. The color says green but I took a chance that it would look more like what was in the picture which is a light grey/blue, very pretty. I washed and dried it before using and it came out in great shape. It is a lovely fabric, soft and lightweight and comfortable to the skin. Highly recommended.

These dry so fast!! Love it!!

If you have never used a fouta pestemal Turkish towel I suggest you try it! I have thrown away all my regular bulky towels. Once you get used to them you will do so too. This is a really good towel and somewhat larger than many of the others on the Market. They take up no space in your closet and dry excellently.

It has a really nice texture and makes for a beautiful bath towel.

I'm so glad you still sell this exact towel. I received one as a gift, then lost it on a trip. It works great at the beach and in a carry-on bag for chilly air travel. It arrived promptly and was just as pictured.
