Ram mount
Love my ram mounts for my motorcycle! Had to buy a replacement because after multiple times of moving it and over tightening it I tightened it too much and broke the threads. But very strong and durable. Highly recommend

Rugged and versitle
This base mount is a great product. I have three of the ball mounts, a handheld GPS holder and a quick release strut from RAM mount. I can move my GPS from bikes to boat. It is easy to remove the GPS. The zinc coated may not be the best choice for high salt humidity, but only time will tell. After one year on bike in Florida no issues. Popping the GPS in and out of the holder made me nervious at first but, this stuff is rugged, and the plastic GPS holder has held up well. All nice products I recommend them.

I bought this along with the RAM Mount X-Grip IV large phone cradle. Installation on my motorcycle (Honda CB500X) was super easy. Used it on an off-road trip through Black Mountain Wilderness north of Barstow and it worked beautifully. It was my first time going off-road with my motorcycle, so of course I fell A LOT! But this mount held up nicely. Never once shifted in place and even riding over rough terrain it doesnt vibrate. Not that these items are very heavy, but it held the weight of a my LG G3, Nexus 7 tablet, and TomTom GPS without issue. Definitely recommend this to others wanting a solid mount for their motorcycle.

These work great as a mirror mount on my motorcycle
I put three of these on my bike: one to use with a phone mount, another for an Insta360 camera, and a third for a RAM Mount cup holder. Very sturdy. Not much handlebar space to fit a mount, these are a good solution.

it provides a better grip on the tube than if the u-bolt were ...
This isn't the first of these I've bought. Each of my three bikes, and both cars, have one for use with various Ram accessories. These work PERFECTLY, with zero slip. I had only one small (very small) issue that kept me from giving it five stars. The ball comes with two u-bolts to fit various size tubes (in my case handlebars). Also included is a plastic v-insert, as shown in the photo. The plastic insert does two things; it provides a better grip on the tube than if the u-bolt were used by itself and, it keeps the tube from being crimped or scratched. The plastic insert only fits the smaller of the two u-bolts because the radius of the larger u-bolt is too big for the insert. In my case that's fine because the radius of the smaller u-bolt was perfect for my tube's diameter. Unfortunately the length of the smaller u-bolt isn't really long enough. It worked but, there was barely enough thread to get the nuts engaged.Regardless of the above, there is no better solution out there for mounting stuff. I've got a drawer full of of junk mounting products collected over the years. Now that I've discovered RAM's product line my search is over. What more can I say, try it, you'll like it.Note to RAM: OK guys, how about sending me one or two of everything you've got. I'll make sure they're all tried and reviewed ;-)GeoinVT.

Ram Mounts. Always Top Quality
ram mounts are always top quality. nothing new there. it works perfectly, parts were of highest quality. you can see i added some electrical heat shrink onto the u-bolt just so i wouldnt marr the finish on my handlebars, not that i think i would have, but better safe than sorry.

Works great for a BMW K1600GT mount!
I've used RAM Mounts for several years on my motorcycles and vehicles and have yet to be disappointed. I was initially disappointed when I thought I couldn't mount a RAM ball to my new K1600GT...the only options seemed to be a $150 machined aluminum ball that would then accept RAM accessories. Then someone on an Iron Butt Association forum stated that this little guy would work in between the two aluminum spars connecting the handlebar clips. Sure enough! The rubber on the bottom as well as the rubberized top section help protect the aluminum and keep it in place. Have over 3,000 miles in a short bit of time with all kids of roads and it's still solid as it should be! Great product!
