Got this for my 13 yrs old who asked to get one. Got it with the cover. This was one of the best prices I could find for cotton. it is great so far. It isn't a long blanket he's about 5'5". But he likes it. It is heavy, 15 pounds, but the beads are well distributed in the sewn squares. it stays on him all night. He's in a bunk and it has never fallen off. It attaches to the cover with ties. the material is really soft and stitching is well done. First time experience buying one of these blankets, but really happy with purchase.

I am impressed by the craftsmanship. The seams are straight and fine. There are numerous little tabs built in to secure this blanket to the inside of a cover. The weighted beads held in each quilted square stay perfectly flat.My daughter loves this for the comfort. This feels like the lead shield formerly used during dental X-rays which I always loved. Regarding what weight to buy, my daughter is 110 pounds but we got the 20 pound blanket which is perfectly comfortable.Unless you like charcoal grey as a bedding color, do plan to buy a duvet cover. While the fabric is very tight, it is also on the thin side to ensure breathability. Durability will be improved if there is a light secondary cover. Also - I don't think you are supposed to wash this, so a cover is needed. Overall excellent purchase!!

My 13 year old grandson asked for a weighted blanket for Christmas i thought it was an odd request but i was unaware he had been stricken with anxiety over being bullied at school. Im a therapist that works with disadvantaged youth with depression, anxiety and other diagnoses so i found it interesting to learn about the 'science' behind it. He told me after he received it (and its cover) that it feels like a big, warm hug all night long and he finds it very comforting. Mom says he seems calmer now and less erratic in his speech and behaviors. I ordered more for the rest of my family for during these anxious times it calls for desperate measures. This one worked for me and my family.

Great blanket overall but smaller than expected. Got the queen size and it fits over the SURFACE of a queen bed but nothing to hang over the edge. There’s two of us in the bed so sleeping with it barely covering makes it get pulled to one side easily. Recommend buying one size higher. Got the 20lbs (I’m 170 gf is like 130) and it’s great could go heavier even. Says the weight will never bunch into the corner of each square but this does sometimes happen but it’s not often and easily fixed. Not quite as good as the higher quality blankets but considering the price it’s great. Will probably buy a second queen size to accommodate for two people as again they’re a bit small.

I received the blanket as a gift.Surprised at the weight, it's heavy but thin like a coverlet or quilt. Very soft . I am only concerned about cleaning it as there's no way you can just toss it in a wash machine. Spot cleaning is recommended and for me that is awkward for bedding. The weight is evenly distributed and doesn't shift.It is well constructed too ; nice size but doesn't cover the entire bed like a comforter.I guess it isn't meant to or may have gotten the wrong size.I flipped it so it has more side coverage. On the whole I can recommend this I like sleeping with it.

After receiving one as a gift myself, I enjoyed this blanket so much that I gifted one to my boyfriend as well! It is a must-have. The sensation is much akin to receiving a full-body hug and is great for facilitating restorative, peaceful sleep and makes stress melt away. I find use of this blanket to be therapeutic and since starting my use of it have found relief in my chronic pain symptoms.

Although 20 lbs seems very heavy, when spread out over a Queen/King size mattress, it is perfect. Blanket stays put and adds the weight required for your needs, but also allows for you to turn sides while sleeping and not be too heavy. Blanket covers the top of a King size mattress and does spill over to the sides which turned out to be good - gives some room to sneak your foot out in the middle of the night! Extra stitching keeps weights in place. I have not washed this yet, but looks like it will hold up for a very long time.

I have diagnosed insomnia along with muscle spasms. I’m probably going to have to get the shoulder weighted blanket because that’s an area of weight that I need applied to as well. As it is the blanket when I pull it over my shoulders is too constricting and it restricts my breathing. But it has afforded me the ability to fall asleep and stay asleep longer. I know that I’d get even more sleep if my shoulders, neck and arms could feel a safer weight being applied to them. I LOVE this blanket.
