Springerle Hand Carved Maple Wood Rolling Pin, 14.5 Inch

I love this rolling pin. The carving is sharp and clean. I saw one of the pine rolling pins at a second hand store and you couldn't even tell what the designs were. I love this one because it can also be used for spring cookies with flowers and designs that are not just Christmas designs. I would recommend this rolling pin to anyone. I love it.

My daughter-in-law loved getting it and has a lot of plans and things to use it with.

I was happy to find this rolling pin as it seems to be rare. I not yet have been able to use it yet.

Please note the size of this rolling pin, the width of the pin is not large so plan to make quite a few narrow strips of dough. If there were instructions I missed them so I was unclear how to season the wood to prevent sticking. I used flour but I suspect there may be other ways to prevent a sticky situation. This roller has nice deep cuts that are identifiable it will be my only springerle tool, I just need more practice!
