I went to use it straight out of the box to cut my friends birthday cake and the wielded portion in the back part of the cutter came completely apart admit it very hard to actually get the cake slice out of the cake. the idea is that you're supposed to be able to squeeze the handle together to apply pressure to the sides of the slice of cake and be able to lift it out easily but when the back of it came apart it made that almost impossible I'm actually meaning to send this thing back but I haven't gotten around to it yet

This slicer works okay on a two layer cake. The taller three layer cakes tend to fall over at the top of the slicer. All in all this seems to be less of an asset and more of a novelty. It does make even slices.

total gimmick. awkward to use and not comfortable. basically doesn't even work unless pie or cake is refrigerated and then still doesn't work as well as expected. save your money.

A knife works just a well - especially on a larger cake or pie It's a nice gadget for the person who has everything

cheaply made, not worth the money, but interesting to have so I'm keeping it.

It broke the first time I tried to use it. The soldering at the connection point at the bottom snapped immediately after I removed the packaging.
