DutchDog Amsterdam Eco friendly Van Gogh dog collar, Almond Blossom, S (10-15 in)

I have loved this collar....but no more. The sharp corners of the nylon where it is attached on the inside of the collar have given my dog a quarter sized oozing sore on his neck (front of neck). It started out as a small irritation and has blown up into a huge infected lump on his neck. In trying to figure out where the sore had come from, I felt the inside of the collar and realized that the corners of the nylon are very sharp and stick out. Almost like having a tag on your shirt that drives you nuts. I am hoping this doesn't require a vet visit and antibiotics.

I bought the Starry Night collar for my 2 year-old male lab, who is a hard-playing, mud-puddle-loving little maniac. We go to the dog park nearly every day, and he gets DIRTY. This collar has held up incredibly well, more so than other "tough" collars we've tried. Plus it has the flair that's important to me as an interior designer/lab mama. Well designed and well manufactured....I highly recommend!

Amazing! Put that collar on the dog and suddenly became an artist. All the moods and feelings changed around us like Van Gogh really was around.. Our discussions (that's right, mine and the dogs) have become complex in intellectuality. Colors are more vivid and prancing around town has become prancier. I can't wait to jump into one of those Mary Poppin's sidewalk chalk adventures!

This collar is exactly as shown. My dog looks so pretty in her collar and the plastic clip is very sturdy. It has been over a year and the collar is still holding up through weekly hikes and rambling through the countryside.

We bought this as a replacement for a collar that was getting worn out. It's beautiful! The colors are vibrant and pretty. We have gotten so many compliments on this collar! I didn't like the tag with logo, so I carefully cut the thread holding it on. If you do this, you want to use a knife or a razor blade since it would be difficult to get scissors in there. It's stitched on pretty tight. The tag came off relatively well - you can still see some of the holes where the stiches were up close. However, from afar, it allows the gorgeous artwork to show as opposed to the logo so it was worth it. It looks great on our small black dog - the yellow really pops. The quality seems very good as well. I would buy again.

I have a new shelter dog that has no manners that I am still working with. It works for small corrections, but when he pulls really hard and sudden, the collar opens (no damage) and the dog is loose. So this is not working for me. I manage to open it myself now (female 55 yr, working out). First time I thought it was some sort of weird coincidence. I think this is a bad design as the ring is close the latch instead of on the other side of the ring where there would be more pull distribution around the collar.

This collar looks great on my dog and is a perfect fit. I love the design as it coordinates with her fur so well. However, as the clasp is made of cheap plastic, it broke within the first week of owning the collar. I can still lock it closed for now, but I don't expect it to hold up for very long. When it goes, I will buy a new one at a pet store that I can test and feel for myself. I will not reorder a new one of these.

I bought the Van Gogh Sunflowers collar for my Redbone Coonhound, Daisy. She hasn't worn the Red Poppies collar yet but loves the soft feel and width of the Van Gogh Sunflowers. Both collars are well made. I love the fact they are made from recycled content and are sturdy. The buckle is sturdy, easy to open and close and the collars are adjustable. Daisy seems to be more comfortable with these collars as they really are a lot softer. I would love to buy more products from this company and hope they soon have more styles available.
