Alexander, Who's Trying His Best to Be the Best Boy Ever Kindle Edition

I purchased this book on the assumption that it would be as good as Alexander’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. After reading it just once to my niece, I felt like I was having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. I found the dialogue to just run on and on. And some of the behaviors presented in the book are questionable. Uncle Tony agrees. My niece seemed to enjoy it, but she didn’t ask to read it again.

If you're thinking about getting this because you love the original Alexander, forget it. Best boy ever is loooong, long long and made this reader want to move to Australia. Buy the original and just take this one out of the library.

Bought this book for my 5 year old. She likes it well enough, but I’m not a fan for a couple reasons.1) Wordiness: It was excessively wordy in a way that made it difficult/not fun to read. Maybe the author was simply trying to make the book longer.2) Models bad behaviors: Alexander is not a good boy. I realize it’s supposed to be fun, but the book introduces ideas that I don’t care for my child to learn.

I bought it for 4 yr old,probably better for an older child but he likes It and the other Alexander book. Good message for kids.

My 4yo fell in love with Horrible Day, so I figured he would enjoy this title. It hasn’t been quite the hit I expected. There are more words per page, he wants to turn to the next picture before I can finish reading. It might be one we have to grow into.

Been using this for my mental health practice and most of it works well.... I just wish it had a better ending. Sure its funny... but the ending doesn't match the lesson I want the kids to learn. Instead of giving up and just hiding them somewhere else? Not what I hoped for.

This is a good story. My son really liked it and so did I.
