Finally getting the speeds we pay for. We have a 1600sq/ft 2 story home and one unit works just fine. Set up was a breeze.

my existing router had finally reach the point where it was time and I thought I would give this one a try as the specs all looked great.First thing I noticed was that you can only set this up and manage it via an app on your phone of tablet. No Web interface. Strike 1.Then I found that I can not manage access using Mac address access control. Strike 2.Then when I reached out to Tech Support regarding the 2 items, I was given a link to documentation on how to set up Parental controls and told to use a strong password when I was very clear that what I wanted to was to restrict any access unless I had added the devices Mac address into my router. Very common practice. Strike 3. I really wanted to like this router

I replaced my Apple Airport Extreme Base Station with the ARRIS SURFboard mAX Plus Mesh AX7800 Wi-Fi 6 AX Router (W30). Kudos to the package design team that made it fun to open! Set up was relatively easy although the QR code in the set up manual took me to an app that told me to download a different app. Awkward but understandable, things change after product release.I saw almost a 100% increase for devices in other rooms and outside the home! (About 120 Kbps) That is a huge benefit for making the change, especially these days when we want to be outside more and distance learning/working from home requires us to be in different rooms to do that. There was a moderate speed increase for devices within sight of the router.The app is pretty cool. It is able to show what devices are connected and their status. The parental controls can simply block or schedule internet on or off for specific devices. It really could be much more robust since it is challenging for even tech savvy parents to set up controls and there are SO many different avenues to achieve that. I think it would be a big selling point if an easy parental control solution was baked into the app/product! At minimum it seems it could track sites visited.Overall, the big increase in speed further away from the router is worth it. That is what I was going for.

I suppose this router is okay for so many knows nothing about networking and has a mobile phone. For anybody who wants to use this Wi-Fi router bridge for anything other than just setting up to watch Disney+ I would highly recommend not buying this and finding a true Wi-Fi router that actually gives you some control over the settings other than through a silly smart phone app. Coverage is pretty good I’m very happy with it but trying to manage it in different scenarios but I net worth is truly frustrating the point where I am not going to use it except for the most simple of configurations. For what I wanted it for it was a waste

This modem and router is exactly what I needed to get rid of the Xfinity modem and router. I was able to get rid of $25 per month for rental and Xfi service that I was not using. Now I use higher bandwidth at a lower price. I am very happy with this modem and router. My only advice is if you are using ethernet cable then upgrade your ethernet cable to get the best bandwidth.

We had the 2 pack of these and they were flawless but of course they both died 3 months after the 2 year warranty expired. I bought this one thinking I could use at least one of the other two as a satellite but unfortunatly they both knock the wifi out after a few minutes no matter how many times you factory reset them.That said, our two story home is oddly shaped and the modem - router hookup is upstairs. With every other router we can't get wifi in a large part of the house. With just one of these we get more speed than the 600mbps we pay for and around 350mbps in the farest reaches which is perfect.

The product works great when it works but the moment it loses connection you have to go through the whole initial setup process over again. It doesn't automatically reboot to the network you have to manually do it yourself and good luck without Wi-Fi. You have to reset the whole router using a safety pin, mobile data and Bluetooth and the whole process takes about 20 minutes every time. I cannot get behind this product because it simply doesn't work as advertised
