Save your ten bucks. This is not returnable and might even be toxic.
This smelled potentially dangerous to me. Not concentrated so much as chemical and plasticy---industrial---I don't mean alcohol either. I went ahead and tried it, figuring, well, coke has chemicals in it. The taste was not good or bad---it wasn't much of anything at all---just a slight disturbance in the water. I would require half the bottle at least to make something happen. But when I squirted a third of the bottle in, I could smell the chemical funk again. I took a sip---it didn't taste remotely like Cola or anything tasty (I would be fine with "old fashioned" cola taste or lemony or clove or vanilla) at all. And I'm not talking about the abscence of sweetness---I have experience with flavoring. It was still fairly mild---like water with chlorine or something in it. I put even more drops in, but once I had it in my mouth, the smell of it made me realize it might be safer to spit it out. I wonder if maybe the mix was put into the plastic bottle while it was still hot (or maybe it sat in heat somewhere) and absorbed the plastic? Maybe this was innocent mistake of the manufacturers but I currently feel conned. You can buy many things that taste more like coke than this (there are recipes all over the net) and if your motivation is health, I suspect this might not be the one.

Cola drinkers: know this
When I first tried this I suddenly had a memory of trying a fountain soda at an old retro shop. Which lead me to think that this is reminiscent of an "old timey" cola and not the a "modern" cola most of us are used to. The colas of today are really bastardizations of what cola used to taste like, where kola nut was used in the flavoring. They no longer use their namesake ingredient and now just taste like sickeningly sweet, chemical grossness. People who are expecting this to taste like that grossness are probably the ones leaving the bad reviews.Enter Capella drops. If you, like me, are watching your sugar and you love your cola this may become your favorite thing, as it has mine. I love that I can easily take it with me and make myself a cola water anywhere.Important to know:1. It is bitter. I'm assuming that it's because these drops are flavored from kola nut, which is bitter. However, it doesn't stop at bitter. It has a delicious complexity, which is likely why colas became popular in the first place.2. There is no sweetener in this. I have not tried adding any myself because I'm more interested in the cola flavor not a sugary taste. I'm sure you can add erythritol, monkfruit, stevia, allulose, or whatever other sweetener you prefer if you're trying to make it taste more like a modern cola.3. Capella recommends 1 drop per ounce of liquid. I found that the flavor wasn't strong enough for me. I use 18 drops per 12 ounces of plain seltzer water.4. Once you try this you may never want to touch that nasty sugary poison ever again. (Look up what C*ca-C*la does to you when you drink it and how the ingredients are engineered to keep you from vomiting and you will be disgusted.)

Bought thinking this would help me a cola addict drink more water. I read the reviews so I knew what to expect but this product was just gross. First the bottle was already sticky even though the safety wrap was still on. I added a couple of drops to a glass of water and it literally made my tongue numb. Maybe this should be marketed as a baking flavor not a water enhancer.

Excellent cola flavor. Experiment to get it right.
I love this stuff! I was leery with its 3-star rating. You have to experiment to get the flavor right.First night: poured club soda over ice…maybe 28 oz. The instructions say 1 drop per ounce. Ok. That’s what I did. Ugh. Awful. It tasted bitter. I wanted to like it, but I only drank part of it and left the rest in my Rtic cup overnight. The ice melted which diluted it some. When I took it into the kitchen, I took one more sip before dumping it. It actually tasted a little better. I figured the melted ice diluted it. (It was still cold before you start bashing my awesome Rtic cup). The next drink I poured the same amount of club soda in my cup, added the same amount of stevia/Splenda mix, but only used 8 drops. Perfect!! It’s AWESOME!! I will be ordering more.Bottom line, start with a small amount until you adjust the taste to your liking.UPDATE 8-18-23:Just bought my 3rd bottle. It is still awesome! I don’t understand how it keeps getting poor reviews. Just experiment with it.

Tastes Like Cola Candy, Yum!
I like the flavor of this cola, it tastes like the cola candies/generic brand cola. I think people give us bad reviews because they expect a Coca-Cola Brand flavor , and it tastes similar but like the cheaper version of it. I personally like it, I mix it with club soda and Stevia. I like that I can have a cola drink without the caffeine, aspartame, and sugar.

I kept adding more to about 16oz sparkling water. After about a third of the bottle, adding more just made it nastier. Tossed it. There was nothing that even reminded me of cola.

Not a great Cola flavor
Since their cherry flavor was so good we figured we would try the cola flavoring, we were a little disappointed that the cola it tastes like is RC.

No bueno.
Not good. If you like real cola flavor then you won’t be happy with this.
