Radiant Cycles Shorty GP Muffler Tip Universal fits any 43mm OD Pipe and 2017-2024 Honda REBEL CMX 500 BLACK Baffle

I was reluctant to purchase & install this in fear of it being too loud (I live in a pretty quiet neighborhood); however, on the Rebel 500, the volume is surprisingly ideal. It can be impressively loud if you rev it high enough, sure, but at idle and while driving it's nice- I can sit on it or a few feet next to it without being bothered by the sound. When letting off the throttle, you're often gifted with a symphony of pops and crackles that I absolutely love. It really enables the Rebel 500 to show its true character, and you'll have to spend 10x as much to find an exhaust that sounds better.It can be a little droney over long distances, but I tend to vary my RPM enough that it doesn't bother me and it isn't any louder than the wind at highway speeds. Some don't like the way it looks; however, I do. I think it looks substantially better than the stock muffler and adds character to the bike's look.

Installed easily on my 2021 Rebel 500. Initially, the sound was very loud compared to the stock exhaust, of course. After turning the exhaust tip downward and running it for about 500-600 miles, it appears the decibel level drops just enough for comfort without earplugs. You may want them for this short break in period...lol The mild-mannered Rebel now sounds like a motorcycle should. This exhaust is affordable, easy to install, will not blast the neighbors ears, and adds character to your bike. I bought another for my wife's Rebel 500 & she loves it! PS: it arrived in two days... I just installed this on my 2023 Rebel 500 SE TODAY. I was installing it and tightening the bolt on the clamp that comes with the slip on. I was using a socket and i tightened the bolt until it was tight and went to turn it just a 1/4 of a turn more to make sure it wouldn't come loose. As soon as i did the bolt SHEERED RIGHT OFF before i even knew what happened. Whatever metal that bolt is made from, it's GARBAGE. So just be careful when tightening it, because if you go too tight theres no warning or anything, it will just sheer off. I even TRIED to get the nut off the piece of bolt that sheered off and instead of coming off the threads on the bolt just flattened and the nut refused to come off. I ended up having to spend MORE MONEY on some C-clamps from my local auto parts store, the ones with the extra band on the inside to make sure it was sturdy enough to hold it on. Honestly, that worked out BETTER than the one sent with the exhaust AND its not as large so it doesn't stand out as much as the clamp radiant cycles sent with the exhaust. They should have just sent one of those with it instead. Other than that the exhaust sounds great, i actually even like the little pops i get when slowing down. Just be prepared with a replacement clamp should you buy this, you're probably going to need it.

I only do reviews is something's very bad or very good. This pipe is very good, especially for the price.Those who say it's too loud, or too quiet...well, that must just be a matter of ear sensitivity or personal preference, because I think it's just about right decibel-wise. Loud enough to announce your presence, but not at all ear-splitting or uncomfortable for the rider.Installation is so simple even I had the old stock muffler off in two minutes, and the Radiant Cycles one goes on with a single clamp to tighten.I will add a helpful hint: if you're not going to use passenger pegs on the Honda Rebel, remove the stock muffler at the two bolts above the pipe. That way you won't have that unsightly bracket hanging down near the Radiant pipe when you're done installing it.

I wanted a quick, cheap exhaust for my Rebel 300 before I could get a Coffman Thunder exhaust. I was surprised by how great this exhaust looked and sounded. Definitely sounds better at lower RPMs, but it’s great, nonetheless. I could’ve left this exhaust on and been just as happy. Great value for money.

It fits the 2022 Honda Rebel just fine. I put the baffle in first before mounting it. Removed the stock exhaust (one bolt and the pipe fitting), I then removed the bracket the stock exhaust mounts to (two bolts). After removing the bracket, I put the bolts back where they were. I then slipped on the Shorty GP, angled it how I wanted, and tightened it with my socket wrench. All in all about a 15-minute job, and it sounds much better than the stock exhaust.

Love it,,easy install,,sounds great,does have some popping sound on deceleration but to me it gives it attitude,,so much better than the sewing machine oem muffler,,enexpensive,,just buy it,

This product was easy to install, and sounds very good. As a matter of fact, it sounds too good. If you’re looking for an exhaust that’s going to give you hearing loss at 25, LOOK NO FURTHER. The only reason I don’t give it 5 is because it does not come with hearing aids which would be extremely nice due to the fact that people have to scream at me to get my attention. Also I can’t hear my music while I’m riding. And I burn my leg every so often on it… BUT. It sounds good, it looks good and it took me no more than 10 minutes to install! Quite a budget friendly (deafening) option to make your bike louder and sound more aggressive.(Also, be prepared for your neighbors to hate you if you have to be at work at 5am…) very satisfied with the product!!!
