It Worked for Me and It Didn't Look Too Bad!
The COCONIX Leather & Vinyl Repair Kit offers a range of benefits for those looking to restore their damaged leather and vinyl items. One of its standout features is the customizable color matching, which includes various brown shades that can be blended to achieve a near-perfect match for different leather tones. This versatility makes it effective for both light and dark brown leather surfaces.Additionally, the kit excels in repairing tears, scratches, and peeling, successfully covering cracks, small holes, and surface scratches. It also works to restore faded or discolored areas, enhancing the overall appearance of the item. Users appreciate how easy it is to use; the kit comes with clear step-by-step instructions, allowing even beginners to navigate the repair process without the need for heat or complicated tools.Furthermore, this repair kit is suitable for a wide range of surfaces, including leather and vinyl furniture, car seats, jackets, handbags, and shoes, making it applicable for both genuine and synthetic leather items. Economically, it provides a cost-effective alternative to professional repair services, helping to extend the life of leather goods and potentially saving users from costly replacements. However, some patience is required to achieve the best results, as perfect color matching may involve a bit of trial and error. For deeper scratches or tears, users might need to apply multiple layers, which can be time-consuming. While the kit is effective for small to medium-sized repairs, it may not be the best choice for large rips or severe structural damage. Additionally, the drying time can be slow, sometimes requiring overnight curing for optimal results. Users may also notice a slight difference in texture or sheen after the repair, which might necessitate extra buffing for a seamless finish. In terms of recommendations, the kit is particularly well-suited for minor scratches and peeling, making it ideal for small cosmetic fixes on leather furniture and accessories. It performs well for car seat touch-ups, addressing small cracks and fading in vehicle interiors, and can rejuvenate old or faded leather goods without the need for replacement. To enhance the product further, suggestions include developing a faster drying formula, offering more finishing options such as a gloss or matte finish adjuster, and creating a stronger bond for larger repairs. Overall, the COCONIX Leather & Vinyl Repair Kit is a versatile, user-friendly, and budget-friendly solution for minor leather and vinyl repairs, making it a highly recommended choice for anyone looking to maintain their leather items without resorting to expensive professional options.

Works. Best for small repairs. Requires patience.
I purchased a really high quality leather chair from a friend for $45. The price was so low because it had a lot of scratches across the front legs and pin size holes on the seat where a cat had punctured the leather with her claws. After doing a lot of research on Amazon, I choose this product. You can mix the several colors it comes with to achieve one that matches your chair. ***It dries darker than it goes on wet so think about that before you do it. It has detailed instructions and is made in the USA.I followed the instructions and cleaned my chair first. I tried the mixture I made, using the enclosed color card, on a small hidden area and let it dry. It came out a little dark. So, I remixed and went a little lighter than the color I needed. It tried to apply it with the enclosed brush. The brush was terrible. Luckily I have really good, fine tipped brushes in my craft supplies. With the better brush. I applied it across the thick scratches. For the cat claw holes, I used a very fine pointed tool to press the raised pieces of leather back in and then applied the product in gobs, then removed the excess. It looked great so I rubbed on more until I got a thick enough coverage that it felt smooth when dry. (People, you need to let it dry for a long time- like a day or more. This whole process was over several days because I wanted it to look good, not DIY.) Then I used some alcohol to correct the shine, per the instructions. It looked like new. A few days later, I realized that my cat decided the chair was a perfect sleeping area. How did I notice? Her hair was suck on the area where the product was applied on the seat. (Even though it was dry) So, I got out the rubbing alcohol again and took off all the product on the smooth leather. It stayed in the former holes so it looks great, like new, but the leather is not perfectly smooth anymore because I had to remove the layering I did to cover the feel of the imperfections. Regardless, it is about ten million times better looking than it was before I started. One thing to note, my chair is mottled leather. When you mix the product it is one color, so when I applied a lot of it on the seat, there was one area that wasn't mottled. I solved this by doing another mix and getting the color just slightly different and adding that. However, I ended up having to remove the extra product, as I said before. One thing you should know, the texture is NOT the same as your leather. When it dries (and mine took days because it was humid even though I put on thin coats) it will feel different than your leather. This product would be superstar if they included some kind of top coat layer that dried shiny and with the same texture as leather.I've added before and after pictures. I hope it helps. The short story of my review is that I am happy with what I was able to achieve with this product. It looks good and you can't tell it was a $45 throw away chair. I've put leather conditioner all over the chair now, and the product had no problem with the conditioner.

Follow directions and take it slow. Worth the price.
Item arrived as described with no issues. All items listed in the ad were in the box.I’m going to keep this short. Pictures say a lot more than I can.My best advice is to; follow the directions, take it slow test color and your skills on a spot that you don’t see, or won’t be noticed. Once you feel comfortable the repair is fairly easy.Again, follow the directions, especially the part remove any loose material because that will get in the way. It seems like he would want to keep that material, however, do not.It is easy to clean up. It appears durable and should hold up to repair use depending on the area and thickness of application.Depending on thickness, it dries in roughly 30 minutes. Some repairs may require additional applications. Once it’s dried, you can smooth it fairly easily with alcohol.I would recommend this product to others. It a good quality product and easy to use.

Solidly meh
It kind of worked. Area was certainly improved, but the repair compound itself wasn’t great and the colors weren’t the best match to my couch. Served its purpose technically

Great product
This stuff is great if you have leather furniture that is starting to crack or deteriorate. You can mix color to get really good match. It's easy to apply and seems to last a long time.
