Carmine Appice - Realistic Drum Fills: Replacements: Book with Online Audio & Video Paperback – April 1, 2011

I think for the money the book is a good value, cheaper than 1 lesson and there's tons of stuff to work on! Note replacement is a great concept, and the book offers numerous exercises to walk you thorough this from beginning to mastery levels.I think this book has something to offer players at all levels. Although, I initally thought I was "beyond" much of this, I just slowed it down and started plugging away at the exercises. It was refreshing to got through this with a different mind set and I just ate it up.I really like the change in perspective that I got as a result of the using the book - it was a catalyst so to speak for me. Sometimes it's better to simplifiy rather than produce a bunch overly complex fills with a billion notes that may be fine in the woodshed, but on the bandstand lose the audience.

I have been playing drums for over a year now,and I am constantly looking for new things tokeep from getting repetitious in my playing.I really wanted to incorporate more kick druminto my fills, and this book delivers.Tons of exercises with 8th, 16th notes, and triplets,as well as sticking.Carmine is obviously a legendary drummer, soanything I can learn from him can only help mein my playing.I highly recommend this book!

I really am enjoying this book. I am a drummer of well over 40 years of playingand usually hours a day. Also a collector of drum books.These signature drum fills are really amazing and I love this book.Although I am always working on advanced drum techniques from several books at a time Ihave to say this concept from Carmines book is awesome.I always wondered how he executed his fills and now I am understanding his approach.Now I only need more time to perfect these fills as well as increase their speed.If you liked his drumming with Vanilla Fudge, Cactus or Beck Bogart and Appice then you willappreciate this killer book

This is my second Carmine Appice book and I must admit that he did deliver with this product. The ideas for drum fills in the book are very well organized and is very helpful for a novice drummer such as myself. I was really happy with my 1st Carmine purchase "ultimate realistic rock" and now this book seems like a perfect supplement for his previous book. Overall, the examples are great in the book and it'll certainly help any new drummer with creatively applying himself around the kit.

今となっては、カーマインの教本内容はYOUTUBEなんかで簡単にチェック出来る程のシンプルなフレーズのオンパレードになっちゃったね。だからといって、必要無いかというとそうじゃない。シンプルなプレー程速度も上げれるようになるし、その訓練には適してると思う。「知っている」にと「プレイできる」のは大きな差がある。愚直に取り組めば、この教材だけでも、かなり派手なプレイヤーになれると思う。TOO　MUCHなパターン数でもないので克服するのは丁度良いボリュームだと思う。唯一、使いづらいのはCDだ。MP3録音なんだが、クイックタイムアプリから開くタイプなので音楽CDの様に手軽ではない。
