I got this through a warehouse deal so it had been elsewhere before I got it, which explains the slightly used appearance when I received it. There was a slight mottling on the heating plate suggesting previous use.Despite that I've had no problem with the kettle. It comes in a soft cloth bag and folds up nicely when out of use to about half of the extended size (give or take) but there is a trick to this. Folded the wrong way and it's doesn't go quite as smoothly.As some have mentioned it's dual voltage but that's explain in the manual so do read it. It also comes with a European 2 pronged plug. Mine also had a world wide adapter so good for pretty much anywhere.I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the flow rate which is quite slow due to the size of the spout, it leaks slightly if you tilt it too far and this encourages you to open the lid while pouring, which obviously is not a good idea. Another issue is the flex which is very short leading to problems if your plugs aren't near your tabletop/counter. Other than that, you get a good strong boil and can make 2 mugs of tea/coffee/other hot drink with it.

The kettle was bought for travelling in South America. After being used a few times the adapter stopped working. I have totally failed to get a satisfactory response from the seller or Amazon. At the very least I would expect a refund for the cost of the adapter and an apology.

Quite an ingenious design. I used it when travelling abroad and it did save a bit of space in my suitcase. Reliable. Overall, very pleased.

This compact troweling kettle had only one fallout, adjustment plug convector that should be changed for official plug adjustment before actual usage. Had odd problems from the beginning. Like it didn’t originally belong in the same package at all. Kettle itself is perfect, very light weight and easy to use every day, despite its travelling purpose is sturdy and easy to clean inside didn’t get any damages nor dirt collections in over a year as photos show. Highly recommended, without mentioned plug adjustment that should be discarded.

This folds well for travel and is light, comes in a storage bag. We are currently travelling in the USA, which is why we bought it. The included converter plug is useless, it falls straight out of the wall socket on USA mode. The kettle only holds enough for one cup, and takes ages to boil in USA, so best to plan for this when using. It is serving a purpose, but very expensive considering the plug is useless.

This kettle is a great idea, and I liked the fact that it's straight-sided rather than conical like all the other travel kettles. It does fold down pretty small and is compact and relatively convenient to transport.However, it turned out not to be such a great purchase as it's such a pain to use. It just dribbles water everywhere when you're trying to pour from it. Which, when you're in a small space (such as a camper van), is not what you want! Plus I found the reboiling feature a nuisance – if you don't physically switch the kettle off, it will attempt to reboil when the water cools, even if you've poured most of the water out and then simply forgotten to manually switch it off. So, I'm afraid I can't really recommend it.

I love the fact this portable kettle collapses, I use it for work place to work place and I wouldn’t change anything about it. The water stays hot if you want it to and it doesn’t take that long to boil. Just make sure you don’t over fill it or pour the water out too fast or it will start to leak out. Good value for money I think and would highly recommend it for people who travel a lot.

Bought this as a replacement for an (very) old one which had gone all over the world with us and had expired.What a waste of money... not the easiest of things to set up/put away. Despite that we got it going , using the supplied travel adapter. For first couple of days it worked OK, albeit painfully slow to boil (we were in USA so we kind of expected that). 3rd day...nothing. Completely broken . Very dissatisfied to say the least!! For something that wasn't exactly cheap we expected more.
