Perfect size for a single adult foot without the product being super bulky. Excellent price too!
I love this product! The wax lasts so long and the smell isn’t gross! Heats quickly, melts quickly and feels great on my hands and feet and my daughter’s as well. It’s sort of messy but I think they all are. I like the size of this one. I can do my size 7 women’s foot with lots of room to spare. I would say a man’s size 11 foot would fit but would be just barely. I ordered another one before this one but it was so massive and heavy that I returned it. Before even opening it. I could tell from the box size that this would be the best size and price! Don’t waste money on one that’s a couple hundred dollars. This one is just as good as the nail salons.

I love the heat on my hands
This works as advertised, but I had to order more wax as what came with. It wasn’t enough to cover my entire hand when I dipped it in the warmer

A Great Starter Warmer
I recently bought this paraffin wax warmer to alleviate hand and foot pain from hEDS! I had gone to a PT that suggested I try paraffin wax treatments and it was very effective, so I decided that I wanted to try having paraffin wax available at home! So far, this has been a great starter warmer. It is cost effective and simple to use. I love that it comes with plenty of plastic liners for the booties and mittens. It also heats up very quickly! I agree with other views that the lid feels unstable. It’s not recommended to move the warmer with hot wax, but I did out of necessity and I did wish that the lid was more secure. The machine is also very light and I am very clumsy sometimes. Next time I’ll look for something with a bit more weight to it so that I lower the risk of spilling wax if I accidentally bump into it. Lastly, I found it very easy to forget about the wax while I was letting it cool down to an appropriate temperature after melting, prior to using it. It comes with a food thermometer for testing the wax temperature, which I appreciate, but I’ve already accidentally dropped it into the wax a couple of times. I wish that it had a built in thermometer, an audible or visual indicator that the wax was ready for use, and the ability to maintain a constant temp that keeps the wax at a safe, ready to use temperature. Overall, if you are new to paraffin wax and want to try it out or if you want a warmer for occasional use I think this is a great option!

Like The Salon
I bought this because lately I have not been able to get my regular manicure. Work and constantly washing my hands has made them super dry, so I needed extra help. Upon first use my hands were super soft, as if I had gone to the salon. I’m so happy I purchased this.

Tips from a pain disorder patient, nail salon customer, and former cosmetology student
I love paraffin wax dips, but had only gotten them done at salons as a "treat". I have a pain disorder that has reached my hands, and my doctor recommended doing dips at home for pain relief. While this review is for this specific kit, I will also leave some advice for anyone considering paraffin wax dips for pain management, dry skin, to practice at home for school, or because you want to save money by doing it yourself. The pros of this kit: It comes with a thermomotor (mine came with working batteries and it was easy to use), comes with wax, heat-safe spatula and brush applicator (both easy to use), mittens for hands and feet, as well as liners for hands and feet. It is big enough to dip one hand or one foot at a time to the wrist or ankle. The wax has a mild to moderate smell. There is a guard to place at the bottom of the melting pot to help make sure you don't burn yourself. The wax melted in around 30 mins for mine. If you are the only one who is using this, you can reuse the wax as many times as you want before having to buy refills. You can buy any paraffin wax for this pot. It came with a basic manual that says how to use it and clean it. The wax that comes with the kit is easy to clean up once it hardens if you spill it anywhere else. The cons of this kit: It's not big enough to put both hands or both feet in at the same time. The liners and mittens aren't long enough to wrap around the hands and feet, even with the mittens having velcro to "tie " them around. The amount of wax that comes with the kit is enough for small hands and/or feet, but if you have "normal" to large adult hands and feet, you're going to need to buy 1-2 extra packs of wax. It doesn't come with more safety features like auto shut off or cool down. There are only two heat settings, so there isn't going to be a good sweet spot to keep the wax melted AND have the temperature safe enough to dip in your hands, feet, etc. The manual is slightly confusing about temp ranges and doesn't say how to safely disinfect it. The lid doesn't fit perfectly. It's not spill-proof. The wax left my skin too oily.Tips that apply to everyone buying paraffin wax kits for at-home use: Unfortunately, this is something that you cannot cheap out on. Whatever pot you buy, make sure it has a guard, other safety features, and better temp ranges compared to "on/off", 3 settings, etc., such as this one. The more expensive ones are going to have a better range of temps. where the wax won't get lumpy, but also won't burn you when it's still liquid. You are going to have to look for ones that start around $50+, even outside of Amazon. Honestly, it would just be easier and maybe cheaper to find a massage salon or nail salon that offers this service to do it for you, rather than buy any kits for at-home use. Even if you went to cosmetology school, doing this on your own has a huge learning curve. So, if you've never done this before, it's going to take a while to practice to get it right, safely. Even a competent adult can accidentally burn themselves. The salons also use different techniques that go up to your elbows and knees by taking the melted wax and putting it in the heat-safe liners, rubbing it along your skin till it's evenly coated, and then wrapping your arms and legs with hot towels. Compared to brushing/dripping a small layer of wax onto your skin, waiting for it to harden, doing it 1-3 more times then dipping that area into the pot, but having to wait to make sure the hotter wax doesn't melt the previous layers off AND if you're doing this without help having to struggle to drip/brush and wrap your other hand if you did the other one already. Do not buy any of these if you are prone to allergic reactions, have sensitive skin, skin that burns/tears easily, cannot sit still, or don't have patience. Do not use any of these if you have any open wounds, sores, acne, rashes, etc, on the body parts you want to dip/ put the wax on. Do not share wax or the pot even between people you trust/are close with. That is how bacteria, rashes, etc can be transferred. You may or may not enjoy this if you have tactile sensitivity. Buy an easy-to-read cooking thermometer so that you can measure the temp of the wax before putting it on your skin if you buy a kit that doesn't come with one. Google the temp ranges that are safe for skin. Do a tiny drop skin test to make sure the heat is something you can tolerate AND you're not allergic to the wax (take the brush or spatula and dip it in the wax, then let a small drop drip onto the back of your hand.) Do not let your skin touch the inside of the pot; keep it floating or resting on the guard. As stated previously, if you're the only one using the pot and the wax, you can reuse the wax till you feel like it's lost its properties, has become visibly dirty, or just needs to be topped off. It's okay if the wax gets lumpy (you're not a professional), while you're not going to get a perfect, even coat if you're just using this for pain relief, playing with the wax at a hot, but safe temp as if it were putty still can help sooth pain. Buy wax that you personally like if you didn't like the one that comes with your kit. Don't stress out if you get wax anywhere outside the pot(again, you're not a professional, if you're still concerned, do this where you don't care if wax gets everywhere, or put down towels, etc to line furniture.).I'm keeping this one since I don't care about perfectly coating my skin or making my skin softer. I'm just happy it helped with my pain relief. I might just ask someone to help me do this for myself instead of doing it on my own.

Use the cover!
A lot has already been said about this product. I will add, please use the cover and the thermometer when using this product. Use the thermometer to determine if the wax is ready for you to submerge your body part that will burn if the wax is too hot. No need to play a guessing game about the heat unless you are into that type of stuff. I find temperatures of 128F -131F comfortable for me. Second, pro tip: use that cover when moving or adjusting, even just slightly moving the machine. It is so easy for the wax to spill out all over everything and it can burn you and it is a headache to remove the wax from floors, clothes, sinks, etc. I have spilled so much wax thinking I was being careful enough. Big mistake. I’ve ruined a pj set and have had so many wax cleanups. Now I just use the cover when moving the machine, at all. Notice I said moving the machine. I do not have the machine covered when it is heating up the wax. I’m not sure that it will cause harm, but I just don’t know. When I use the cover, I hold it securely in place with both hands while also holding the machine. The wax will slosh around and can still spill out if you are not holding the cover securely in place. I purchased additional wax (beads) and plastic liners to wear underneath the foot mitts to use with this unit. I use it at least weekly in the winter to help with aging dry feet. I also wear a size 8.5 women shoe. I have just a small amount of room to spare in the machine when dipping my foot.
