Got the desired color out of the product at full strength undiluted application on slightly wet surface. Worked it around every hour for 6 hours as it would dry/puddle inconsistently. Very happy.

This is an amazing product. Started out with 2 1/2 months work making my own concrete stacking stones from a mold kit I purchased. After the installation and deciding on the new house colors we ordered the acid stain over a water base and I'm so glad. I've never experienced such instant gratification. I used a quality spray bottle over the pressure bottle sprayer as I was doing a vertical application. I sprayed a small 2x2 ft area n used a paint brush to rapidly work the stain in. The stones I made has a very extreme surface to spray without runs a brush was necessary Photos #1=1 coat, #2=2 coats, #3 is after applying a solvent based high gloss sealer. I also highly recommend to preserve and truly bring out the color. Note of importance. Read and follow the precautions for safety. WEAR EYE PROTECTION. WEAR A CHEMICAL RESPIRATOR AND WEAR GLOVES. This is called an acid stain for a reason. Use these 3 items and you will be just fine. I wore shorts n a t-shirt but I didn't use a pump sprayer either or I would have wore pants. If you are reading this. Stop n just order the product in your color of choice. You won't regret it. Next we are doing our walk n driveway. Just haven't decided the color. Oh for my application of about 140sf I was able to do 2 coats with one gallon. I did the step by front door and I noticed you will use more product on a flat surface I'm 100% positive of that. This product did not cover at all. I was extremely disappointed with coverage. I purchased a sample Vivid product in a comparable light shade and it performed very true to the description given. This product is a complete waste of your money and time.
