The media could not be loaded.  This is a great upgrade from previous projector. I can clearly see the edges of the screen and text is easy to read. Even when I turn on the light in the room the picture is clearly visible. I gave it throwing from the absolute furthest point in my room and is about 100 inches. The only downside is that I did experience a bit of frame lag while using it for gaming so, 60 fps PC gaming left a bit to be desired, but for movie watching and 30fps gaming it is perfect. True 1080 is a must with these projectors. Overall, amazing for the price. I got it for $209 and would get again.

A pretty good value for the screen dimensions, but you’re limited on size if you have a short distance from projector to screen. BrightneSs is decent, and lights up the room well. Device is big and bulky. In this day and age, I expected something far more sleek. Simple buttons, and a variety of ports. Fan noise is tolerable. Having a horizontal keystone adjustment would be nice.It does play Netflix, which many projectors on here will not. However, after months of use, a burn line has appeared in the projection. Also, this did NOT play a dvd from my usb disc drive. It says it’s a “bad device”. Just because it has the port doesn’t mean it will work!I feel a bit remorseful about this purchase. It does it’s job, for the most part. But I would rather spend more on a device that does it all without fail, and takes up less space.

After borrowing a friend's projector for a backyard movie night I was hooked and had to get my own projector. I wanted something that was easily portable and produced a bright clear picture. After reading a ton of reviews on a dozen or so models I settled on the GuDee 5500. I like that it is native 1080P. Many listings are deceptive in that they say it "supports HD or 1080P" but the what that really means is that it will accept a 1080P source but the actual picture may be a much lower resolution. The only issue I had was when I tried to play a UHD 4K movie from my Blu-ray player I got nothing. Turns out that this unit does not support anything above 1080P but since my player settings allows stepping down from 2160 to 1080P it worked perfectly.The GuDee puts out a bright clear picture. There is a bit of a learning curve for the controls and menu but not too difficult to figure out. For a handy screen I bought some white drapery blackout material from a fabric store for about $12 and hung it from a patio cover for a perfect outdoor screen. I just roll it up around a 3/4 inch PVC pipe for storage. We have really enjoyed our backyard movie nights and even used it to project ghost in the front window for a scary Halloween fright night.

I couldn't be more happy with this projector! The price $200 was amazing for the quality. 1080p picture quality and for a 1 bedroom decent sound quality. I have hooked this up to a sound system and played movies outdoors on a 14 foot diagonal screen, beautiful picture and setup is so easy. Please note, the video shown in pictures is DVD quality 720p. A blue-ray would provide an even better picture. The blur in my pictures is only due to low light for my phone and movie wasn't paused. Please note that if you use the audio out please get another AV audio cable. The one provided is for two audio out and video. It will cause a buzz noise if used with external speakers. So get an AV cable with only the two (red and white) connections for audio. Hook it up to a receiver and get some speakers and your set. I have used this to play MP4 video files from a jump drive (32gb). No issues playing at all. The picture is bright and if used indoors you get a good picture during the day with just closed blinds. Pistol grip tripod with a ball mount. A bit disappointed that after only 6 months of usage (average 2 hours per day) this projector has already showed severe signs of degradation. The issue is that some yellowish spots appeared on the projected image, making the picture itself look very bad and inaccurate. I was expecting this product to last significantly more than 6 months given they advertise "5000 hours" of light-bulb life.I guess that's the ultimate price one has to pay for buying cheap stuff.

Good picture quality but the sound stopped working after about 3 weeks. Good thing that i was still within the return/exchange time because I did not purchase a warranty but was able to exchange for a new projector.

I had to return this product because it would not play sound from apps on my Apple TV like ATT Now, Hulu, or Netflix. The Apple TV menu would make sound come out of the projector but no sound at all when trying to stream live TV, only video. Found this out when trying to stream a football game outside for the neighborhood.The picture quality though was pretty awesome! Just wish the sound worked with streaming apps.

got this projector for travel and initial use is great! great picture quality, sound quality and multiple inputs. only negative thus far is no volume control on device, need to use included remote. terrible oversight. will update review in a few months to see how it holds up.
