The knife is very sharp. At first I thought the higher sharpening angle for this blade means dull, and it is meant for chopping bones. Wrong... While I was sealing the handle with Thru-Oil, the blade knocked on my rice cooker, flipped and sliced my left pointed finger very deep along the finger nail. The knife barely touched finger as I remembered. Then I tested the knife by slicing the paper. It sliced thru smooth and straight easily.Only complain is the gap between the wood and the tang at the handle section is not tight. Small pieces of food and juice can accumulate. Not enough sealant on the wood handle.The spine on the blade is nice and thick. You can crack small bone with it, and then slide with the blade. Over all, excellent bone chopper. Highly recommend ed.

I love this cleaver knife. I've had it for half a year now and haven't had to sharpen it yet. I've used it to cut through small bones multiple times now and it works as expected. Good price also!

It's very wet made. I just saved and don't want to use it. lol

I chopped pork rib today. This knife, while pretty heavy and sturdy, was more likely to crush the rib bones than cutting through them.

Very satisfied, exquisite packaging.This handmade Chopper knife is excellent.It is razor sharp out of the box. Blade stock is thick at the spine but tappers down nicely.Try it out, it's very handy .It is much easier for me to cut the bones without my husband's help.great for household . heavy duty Highly recommend .It also a great kinfe to cut turkey bones.The blades definitely work for us as expected. Purchased this knife to chop up chicken leg quarters & wings to help with my dogs raw food diet. Has some weight to it, but works well (not overly heavy).

it's sharp and very high-quality steel, so far easy to cut the baby ribs nothing goes wrong. only one thing is that the knife is a little light for me(1.1 LB), but overall it's good enough for household use.
