Needed this short adapter to connect a 10' extension to our Travel Trailer's Solar briefcase so I can have some flexibility to move it around as the sun moves during the day. This adapter works perfect, no issues, transfers power just fine, matches the power cords on the solar briefcase, is well made and durable.

I picked up the CERRXIAN 50 cm 10AWG SAE to Male & Female Adapter Cable for RV Panel Solar, and for the most part it’s a solid piece of gear. The build quality is one of the first things you notice. The 10 AWG cable feels thick and robust — definitely heavier gauge than the thinner wires that often come with cheaper SAE adapters. The connectors snap together securely and don’t wiggle loose, which is reassuring for solar setups on RVs or trailers. At 50 cm (about 1.6 ft), the cable length is a good middle ground — long enough to reach from a solar panel to a charge controller or battery input without being so long that it creates a mess of extra slack. The SAE male and female ends are clearly labeled and easy to distinguish, so hooking up the right polarity is straightforward. The 10 AWG rating is ideal for handling moderate current in 12 V solar systems; it helps reduce voltage drop compared to thinner leads — a nice bonus for efficiency. I’ve used it in direct sunlight and it’s held up well so far with no noticeable heat buildup. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is mostly minor. The cable sheathing could be a bit more flexible — it’s a bit stiff, which makes managing it in tight spaces slightly trickier. Also, while the connectors feel solid, they’re not waterproof on their own; if you’re mounting this in a very exposed outdoor position, you’ll want additional sealing. Overall, this is a dependable, well-made adapter cable for RV and solar panel use. It’s not perfect, but given the quality and performance for the price, it’s a worthwhile addition to a solar setup.

These adapters allow me to quickly/easily combine components from different systems together without having to splice and rewire everything in the moment. Having property with multiple systems at multiple locations, the ability to combine parts quickly helps keeps everything working. Yes life would be easier if everything had the same style connectors. In a perfect world... Eventually I'll get everything switched to MC4. Till then these adapters keep saving the day.

If using zamp solar products this cable will allow the use of other solar panels with your system. Well made, excellent quality. I would certainly buy again

Depending on the solar panel/device some manufacturers switch polarity on the cables, the extra adapter included with this cable lets you add it or remove it depending on the device to make sure you are aligned correctly on + / - at the SAE adapter.

This product is allowing the connection of a renogy solar panel and controller to my travel trailer's "solar ready" battery charging connection. Cannot vouch for water resistance yet since it has not been exposed to rain. However, it did provide the ability to reverse the polarity from the renogy controller. The output from the controller was the reverse of what my trailer needed.

Works great with no issues.
