Had purchased this as my other half loves to go surfing and insists we all come down to the beach to watch him make a tit of himself.Parasols seem to always be a pain if there is a little bit of wind, they take off.Being 2 meters by 2 meters the tent/cover is absolutely huge and can be weighted down from every side.Provides excellent cover and not one of us has managed to get sun burnt under it so it blocks out the rays which is fantastic.Quality is very very good, originally purchased a cheaper £20.00 one but that broke the 2nd we got it out, this one has lasted 30+ pack up and downs and still looks as good as day one.The material is rather stretchy so make sure to get the full length to really pull it out with the sand bags.

It's fair to say I was sceptical about this product and the design in general, but it far exceeded my expectations.The first attempt to put it up had an element of trial and error, but we cracked it in a few minutes and after that it proved easy to put up each day and completely stable and wind resilient once up.I am fair skinned and cannot go near a beach without factor 50 sun block liberally applied. I still had my factor 50 on, but sat under this I felt completely shaded and much less exposed than with a typical beach umbrella. I only felt the need to top up the sunblock after a swim and this was in 32 degrees plus conditions in the south of France.The way we found best for putting it up was to have both poles at the front. The two sand bags at the front tied on about 10 cm from the end of their string and the two at the back tied on about half way along their length. The poles were then put right in the front corners.Once up, we topped the bags up with as much sand as we could fit and pulled the corners out to make it as taught as possible.I have to confess we went with this approach partly because it worked and partly to keep the footprint down on a packed beach.All in all a great product that provided everything I needed for a relaxed time on the beach.

On the plus side it is small and light for easy transportation and the sand bag anchors work very well. The downside is its performance in wind. The two poles are not joined abd they move around a lot in more than light breeze. If they were braced together I think the stability would be improved but overall I am glad that I bought it as it did the job well when we used chairs the support the poles against the wind and it should last for a few years to justify the cost.

This was totally useless. It seems like a great idea, but arrived with no instructions so was very difficult to figure out. Eventually we were able to put it together, but it wouldn't stay up. The fabric is a heavy, stretchy lycra - far to heavy to be held aloft as shown in the photo. Being so stretchy it won't hold taught, so it's impossible to get the tension needed. The poles have a blunt end, making them hard to drive into the sand. It couldn't cope with a gentle breeze. Such a disappointment as other reviews looked positive. Overall, it's a fiddly design with a poor choice of fabric for the purpose. Avoid.

Great product ! We were so comfortable on the beach - easy to set up - great invention

Very good. Easy to put up once you get the knack. Gives a good area of shade. Will take up a fair amount of room on the beach though so probably best not to use it in crowded situations.

Load of Rubbish - Chinese waste of money worth no more than £ 20 max. Don't be fooled by the lovely picture
