Exceeds Expectations
I self-installed this unit in my RV, and it took a little less than two hours; it was a fairly direct and easy installation. The most difficult part for me was ordering the correct door. I initially ordered the wrong door, but I contacted the company, and they gave me the correct part number for the door that I needed. I have found the water is hot and constant -- it really is an endless supply of hot water (you can adjust the temperature on the control panel). The complaintsI read online seem to come from people with low-flow devices that do not create sufficient draw to turn on the heater. Yes, RVers want to save water, but you must draw sufficient hot water to activate the heater. It is HOT water draw, so opening the faucet to full blast, but with mostly cold water is not going to do it. I just turn it on full hot, and I have the temperature on the control panel set a bit lower. On a side note, I wish they would install these on new RVs and re-design it so there is only one small exhaust port, rather than the need for an unsightly door. Well, as far as this product is concerned, I am happy with it's performance, and it exceeds my expectations. I replaced my old Suburban water heater that was 17 years old (it was a rusty mess), and this is a welcome upgrade. I'll never go back to hauling around 6 gallons of water and heating unneeded water.

Awesome unit!
I installed this in my tiny home and love it. It provides unlimited hot water in the same space as a 6 gallon standard rv water heater. I also like that they included a remote water temp control, for easy adjustment. I see a lot of people complain about tankless water heaters and think it is more user error than anything, as these just don't work like a normal one.The thing you have to keep in mind is that the water gets heated as it passes through the unit, which is triggered to turn on by flow. This means you must have enough flow to turn it own, then as soon as it turns on that amount of water flow will be the hottest possible, as you get more flow (opening the hot water valve all the way) the water goes from hot to warm.So how to properly use this (as the instructions say) is to open the hot water valve all the way then if too hot still, add a little cold to the mix, if not hot enough, back off the flow of the hot till it hits the right temp. Now as most rv's have lots of water restrictions this can make it a bit more delicate, if you fall below the minimum flow rate, it shuts off (causing a hot/cold/hot/cold cycle.)So to prevent this, open the hot water valve all the way, then adjust your flow constrictor, leave it there for good, then adjust your cold. Also, if you want to do navy showers (wash off, turn off water, soap up, turn on water, wash off), get a on/off in line valve to make it a quick change so you don't have to adjust the valves. It sounds like a lot of work, but your really only have to do it once to get it set, then it is easy! The benefits of unlimited hot water, propane savings, and space savings are so worth it!Another thing to note if this is a first time install, not an upgrade, you need to buy door as this does not come with one (despite the picture showing it having one). If you are replacing another water heater, this will slide right into the spot from most 6 or 8 gallon, or you can get the adapter to replace a 10 or 12 gallon ones. The hookup couldn't be easier, takes all of connecting the water in, water out, 12v leads, propane line, and drilling a whole somewhere for the temperature control knob inside. Less than an hour for a novice, maybe 15 mins or a pro.

It was a retro fit for an existing 6 gal tank. Some of the plumbing and gas lines were realigned to fit the new unit. It saves a lot on LP and fresh water use. The temp setting are easy to use and variable over a full spectrum of fresh water sources.

Very frustrating
So frustrated with this product. Took forever to install only to find out the door they have listed to match is not a match at all. They did not resend the right door just said to send back. so now I have a hole in my new camper. Called company direct and that was a waste of time. So as of now I still have no door to match this tankless heater. I do not recommend buying this product.

NOTE: does not come with the door, just fyi! Been using it for about 6 months everyday! It's been a lifesaver, always having hot water! If it's not hot enough for you just turn down the water pressure and get ready for the burn. I installed this myself with a little help from friends and it's very doable with little instruction thought.

This water heater worked for only 2 weeks before it stopped igniting. Even when it was working the water temperature was never constant and went back and forth between cold and scalding hot. I wouldn't recommend this unit to anyone especially when you consider it's price! Very dissatisfied customer.
