Easy to manuever Transport Chair
Great for use to transport my Mom to Medical appointments. I highly recommend it. This chair is sturdy, easy to manuver with Mom in it, and is worth a few dollars more than cheaper chairs. I bought this to replace a transport chair I bought earlier this year (in January). I didn't do a lot of research at the time since I needed the chair ASAP. Features to consider if you are looking for a transport chair: - Rear wheels - this one has 12 inch wheels vs the 8 in wheels on the other one making it easier to maneuver than the other one. The smaller wheels on the other one would also get caught in the cracks (between bricks) at the doctor's office. No problem with this one getting caught and me worrying about dumping Mom from the chair as I fight to get it loose. - Locking brakes - this one has locking hand brakes instead of having to push a lever on the wheels to lock the wheels. - Easy to fold and put in car trunk. (The first one was as well.) - Light weight and easy for me to handle. This one is about 19 lbs vs 15 on the first chair. The extra 4 lbs is not significant. If I had done more research, I would have bought this one to start with - as of the date of posting this review, both this chair and the one I bought originally are the same price. Not sure what the price of this one was when I bought the other one in January but it's a no brainer at the same price. Even if it were an extra $40-50 or more, this one is well worth the extra cost.

Light and foldable, travel wheelchair
My mother in law is 89 and has mobility difficulties. She can walk, but needs a cane and not for long distances. My husband gifted her and our kids a week in Paris. We were able to take the foldable wheel chair on the plane as a carry on. Everyone on Air France was wonderfully accommodating. It folds easily and is very light. You have to remove the foot rests. So bring a small drawstring bag and store it in the overhead. It’s very easy to take off and on. The larger back rear wheels rolled easily over the cobblestone streets and narrow sidewalks of Paris. Its small size fits on the tiny elevators and crowded bistros. We did not attempt the metro. We used Uber XL or a van. I would highly recommend this chair for travel if you are with a mobility compromised person.

This Wheelchair ended up being a Travel Godsend
My wife broke her foot three weeks before we were to go on a vacation in Europe. We decided that we were going to go, and we knew we were going to need a travel wheelchair. We ended up buying this one, and we found it extremely affordable. We weren’t sure if it would hold up at this price point, but we got it anyway. It ultimately was a godsend for our trip and held up great. This wheelchair made it through two international flights (we gate-checked it both ways and it was never damaged). We used it in six European cities (with transport that included trains, taxis, and rental cars). It traversed old stone streets (although it was hard to push over cobblestones), as well as non-paved paths. The little peddle things on the back helped to lift the chair for curbs and bumps. It is indeed lightweight (19 lbs), and everything folds. This wheelchair really saw it all and we were thrilled it stayed intact. We have kept this wheelchair and will lend in to friends and relatives who might need it. We highly recommend this chair, but keep in mind these tips below if you travel with this chair (or to just consider if you get it): Remember the push handles fold down. That was very helpful for taxi trunks; Purchase at least two Velcro straps. You’ll need them to secure the wheelchair when it’s folded (especially if it’s going on a plane). Take a small bag with you to store the removable footpads (we detached them, put them in an adidas bag, and took them on the plane when the chair was gate-checked). You’ll need a cushion if someone sits in the chair for a long time. I-Drive sells a pad which is fine, but it’s too heavy and bulky for travel. We ended up buying a chair cushion from wal-mart and that was light and did the trick for travel. The hand-brakes are attached to the push handles. If you push the handles down, it locks the wheels (I did not see that info on any instructions/manuals, and only learned that the wheels locked when an airport staffer told us). We would definitely but this chair again. For the price, we found it to be a good value.

Nice chair but look over well before using.
I purchased this for my husband because of the 300lb weight limit, he is 5' 5" and weighs 200lbs. He says it is comfortable but there is no room to spare on either side of him. He will only be using this for short periods of time. It is easy to lift and put in the car. The box had a few holes but the chair was intact. My only complaint was one of the handle locks needed to be adjusted as it would not stay in the lock position and one of the brake pads was rubbing on the wheel. Luckily I am pretty handy and was able to adjust both.

Chair folds easily and is lightweight. Very easy to manoever. The foot rests are removable and do have to be removed to transport the chair or they fall off when loading. The seat would not be very comfortable as is just canvas so use it with a gel seat cushion.

Muy funcional para mis papás. La silla es muy ligera, la diferencia con una normal es bastante, tiene frenos y un par de agarraderas para cargar con las manos. También trae una correa larga para colgar al hombro. Si hace una diferencia

Lightweight, foldable and sturdy. What more could you ask for in a transport chair? Purchased for my elderly mom who found it comfortable. Price was very competitive.

BLUF: Stick to very smooth surfaces and short distances - this is not a tough-built chair. I purchased this chair for my wife who had broken an ankle. We planned on using the chair for holiday travel to Oslo this December, as she could not walk in her cast. The first time we drove through the city was the day after Christmas. We had traveled just a few hundred feet down a sidewalk when the left front caster disintegrated. The weight load on the chair was nowhere near the listed 300# maximum. It being Oslo (socialist medicine - everyone who needs a wheelchair gets one) and Christmas week, there was no place to rent a replacement. The airline wouldn't ship a broken chair free and the additional luggage fee was $100, so the chair stayed in Norway. While I would normally request a replacement, I had nothing to return. Just got off the phone with Amazon - they agreed to refund the cost of purchase. For the manufacturer, only beefier/stronger caster material would help. As designed, the casters are the weakest part of the chair. While this wheelchair is listed as an "Expedition" model, it would be best suited to flat, level ground and short distances. The brake is operator-initiated and cannot be locked; do not leave occupants unassisted -- I was OK with this. Folded as advertised; held it closed with a strap I provided. The foot supports are not designed to fold and still remain attached to the chair; they are quite light, quickly and easily removable, and went in a carry-on for the flight. Very light weight chair, easy to maneuver on smooth surfaces.
