I read through a lot of reviews before buying these cold brew filter bags, and overall, I’m satisfied. Do they feel thinner than some name-brand options? Yes. Do they tear? Occasionally—but only at the top, never where the coffee grounds sit, which is what really matters to me. Which is an issue I’ve also had with name brand bags.Despite the minor tearing, I haven’t had any issues with grounds getting into my cold brew, which is my main concern. The bags do their job, and for the price, they’re a great value. I’ll likely buy them again since they’re affordable and easy to work with. If you can handle a little care when handling them, they’re definitely worth trying.I’ve attached a photo to show the tear. This is after I’ve drained my coffee, and the grinds will be disposed of in my garden, so the minor damage isn’t a big concern for me.

Second order of these. Works well with Toddy cold brew system. Much less mess than without filter.

Nothing like the Toddy Cold Brew bags. They tear easily and feel like silk all at the same time?? Will not purchase again.

The media could not be loaded. I honestly don't know why people have trouble with these filters. I've been using this brand for over a year now and just ordered more. I allow the coffee to brew overnight (9+hrs) before I pull the bottom plug to drain the coffee out of the plastic container into the carafe. Then I put the plug back in, carry the plastic grounds container over to my trash can & carefully lift the paper filter with grounds out & into the trash can. I don't know if other reviewers are trying to lift the paper filter out without draining the coffee first, or they aren't using the other thick filter with it, or they don't grab hold of the entire top, or what. But I haven't had an issue with the paper filter tearing except maybe the first time I used one, when I immediately realized you needed to lift it out carefully. I think these are great! They make cleanup SO easy. Highly recommend!

The value is great for these, and they do get the job done. The only thing frustrating is that they rip pretty easily. So you have to be really careful with how you pull them out of the brewers. They do fit in the toddy brewers although you can't fold them over the edges. I fill them just as pictured (bag straight up) and then fold it into itself and it's fine.

Before buying I came across numerous reviews indicating how delicate and prone to ripping these filters were but decided to "gamble". I've used them twice so far and have NO issue removing them from the tub with ease and no incidents of tears or spills.UPDATE - 10/7/2024: Used these all summer and again still had no issues using them in our Toddy system, and no problems with coffee filtering after steeping and had zero incidents of rips or tears.When beginning the steeping process it's recommended you twist the filter bag shut, and this makes it easier to lift the bag out for disposal.Overall - these are 100% worth it when it comes to how much easier and faster it makes clean-up after filtering the coffee into the carafe.

Used in a Toddy, and found it diffult to lift out afterward without tearing the paper.Otherwise it does the job fine.

I’ve been making iced coffee concentrate in my Toddy for at least 10 years. I love it, but dumping the grinds and cleaning the mess was always a pain and left me worried about what was going down the drain.These bags are easy to use, fit in my Toddy with about 2 inch clearance, were able to tolerate my 12+ hours of “brew” time, and made for the simplest clean up! No more container to clean, no more stress about grinds going down the drain, no more filters to wash and leave to dry. Total game changer! Will absolutely be purchasing again.
