Failure in less than a dozen uses is not an option
Awesome sound... but when they fail after fewer than a dozen uses - even when carefully kept in the original carry sack and on a shelf when not in use - there's a massive problem. They failed months ago, and here they sit. All in all, I'm rather disappointed (the most pg thing I can say).Went back to earbuds.

Looooooooove my Zipbuds!!!
I looooove my Zipbuds headphones! I got the black on-ear headphones as a gift, and I’m glad I did, because I couldn’t have found anything so brilliant or perfect for my lifestyle and preference by myself. They’re so comfortable, and I love their brilliant design. Half the cord is zippered, which I love; it’s brilliant. The other half of the cord is fabric, which is brilliant and perfect for me because there are no cords that twist or swivel and get tangled or just break. I also love the swiveling headphones, and the ear pads are still comfortable after hours of wearing them. It also came with an adapter so I can plug into an amp and play guitar as loud as I want. I also love that it came with a small travel pouch. Brilliant; I couldn’t love them more! Thank you, and happy birthday to me!

First the good stuff: These headphone look cool for sure
First the good stuff:These headphone look cool for sure. I have the black ones and I really like the design. They have detachable cables and are comfortable to wear for a long trip (I used them on the plane) with the padded headband. They're foldable and so they don't take up a lot of room and, as a bonus, they come with a travel bag to protect them. Now the not so good:First, the zip design may look cool but it is actually quite heavy (for a chord) and noticeable when the headphones are on the ears. The zip design prevents the cord from being discreet which is what I want from the chord. You wouldn't be able to jog with these as the chord will be annoying.Second, they are not noise cancelling in any way. When I used them to watch a movie on the plane, I just couldn't hear the sound clearly even with the screen volume on high. I could hear the engine noise as well as people talking so them seem to leak a lot even though they're an around the ear design. Finally, the sound quality is just OK. They sound muffled - no real mid or treble and too much bass for my liking. They aren't as clear as my old Sonys and I have had trouble hearing any movie dialogue on plane trips. So much so that I've gone back to my old Sonys and have given these to my wife. Now she's not happy as she also can't hear much when exercising - so there's definitely a sound quality issue that we both can discern.

Could have been better
I bought both these on ear type and the matching over the ear type together so I could try both and select the pair that fits best. These on ear type actually did better at isolating me from the exterior noise and keeping the family from having to hear my music faintly. In this way they seemed to perform better than the more expensive over the ear type. However they also felt a little squeezed after a couple hours of listening and I imagine had I kept going it would have gotten a little more sore. It seems a few days of breaking them in maybe would fix that? Who knows. The sound quality itself was good. Not blow-me-away the best sound ever, but very good sound for on ear headphones. The over the ear type had a slightly better sound but really by a negligible degree. Mostly they sounded pretty close to each other over multiple types of music. The reason both pairs are going back despite the cushy feel of the headphones and the stylish look to the earcups and head band, is the zipper. The cord is heavy and kink free enough itself - you can tell it would be tangle free on its own. The zipper is added for style, a gimmick so to speak. And it is a good gimmick, makes the earphones stand out in a crowded market. However the plastic teeth are sharp edged and I quickly got tired of scratching my arms and neck on the teeth. Without the zipper I would have kept both pairs and given one set to my husband to enjoy. Instead I will be mailing them both back and going with the urban ears brand my kids favor. Too bad because these are nice headphones....I just don't need the gimmicky zipper mucking up the front.

Very unique product
I really like these head phones. The design is incredible, I tried to tangle the cord but it is impossible to do so. I love the gold tip connectors - very clean sound, though for the size it could be a bit more 'bassy'. (I'm a bass player sorry)I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because of comfort. I have a small head and after wearing it for 5 mins, I felt pressure on my ears. However, the extensions for the ear buds are made of a strong metal, so I bent and modified it to fit my small head, and it can now receive 5 stars ( * * * * * ) <---- 5 starsI recommend this for starter/intermediate musicians as good on-ear monitors, the cord can easily be tucked away and not pose an obstacle while performing.Ps. Its also a great conversation starter with a perfect stranger!

Very Professional!
Edit: After a while I realized I got the wrong headphones, I ordered On-Ear, not Over-Ear. After a while having them on my ears, they get very irritating, I'd have to take them off for a moment then put them back on.The packaging and the headphones themselves are okay, they make an ideal headphones, but they're not what I had ordered.

Great headphones for price range
I was looking for a decent set of head-phones that were comfortable but sounded nice. My former headphones were a pair of $300 beats so sound was important but I mostly wanted a pair of headphones comfortable enough to sleep with on. These headphones deliver! By far, some of the most comfortable headphones I've worn. In terms of comfort, they do beat the $300 pair of headphones I used to have. While the sound is not as good, it's not to say the sound is terrible. The sound does deliver and I am very impressed given the cost. With all that said and I haven't even mentioned the zipper. I've never really had a problem with headphone wires breaking but the zipper does add a cool flair to the headphones. All in all, I think it'd be hard to beat the value for the price.
