The endoscope is just as described. It has very good picture, and seems to be of good quality. I use this around my house to check for electrical wires, wall studs, insulation, water pipes, etc. It is very handy and helpful. I like that it includes a guard for the lense, along with several other attachments that go on the end of the scope. I have not used it for video or still photos, but I am very happy with it so far.One low point is the rigidity of the cable. If it were slightly more rigid, I could use it more easily for assisting in running new electrical wires. Also, depending on the size of hole you have to put the camera into, it has a tendency to get stuck occasionally. This can be remedied with a simple wrap of some electrical tape to help smooth the edge that gets caught.Overall, a great tool, and very affordable for what you’re getting.

Unfortunately my borescope failed without warning while in my hand - I was using the camera to thread an electrical cable down the inside of a wall. Worked perfectly until the screen went blank without warning. Tried recharging for a couple of hours, tried pressing the reset button (next to USB port) but unit was simply dead. Very disappointing. The borescope, while working, was brilliant. Excellent focal range - much more useful than any equivalent devices I've tried. I would've given this a 5 star rating but it failed despite the most gentle use.Addendum: The supplier reacted quickly and refunded me for the borescope. I ordered a second device which has worked flawlessly and has allowed me to complete a complex piece of work. This has become one of those tools for which you keep finding new uses! A must-have in my toolbox.

Actually bought these to see if the local squirrels were dropping nuts down my plumbing vent pipes. (They weren't). But since purchasing it I have used it to find a wire I could not locate for a security camera. Find a wire connection on the backside of the engine block on my jeep. Retrieve the dropped nut behind my washer without moving it. When working in the pvc pipe it was hard to get the right focal length to see an object well with the amount of light present. The wire is stiff so it doesn't go around corners well. I have had my wife hold the screen console so I could manipulate the wire better. All of these things take some getting used to but so far I have been able to accomplish all I have used it for but don't expect to see a big screen image when using it.

Easy to understand and use; works very well and picture is very clear. It provides access to tiny areas you usually couldn't get to. Used to check drain clogs, under-house visitors (who have been evicted) and hard-to-get to places on a car engine. Really great tool

bought this to inspect wall cavity for piping issues. initially worked fine although the cable is VERY inflexible and the camera stick on the end of the snake is too long to bend into tight spaces. Worst was the camera (on the snake) failed to connect to the handheld display after about 1 hour. Was fully charged and handheld worked fine... just NO camera, none, nada, caputt (the snake light worked on the camera). NOT WORTH THE PRICE. ALSO, 16 FEET OF RIGID CABLE IS JUST NOT FUNCTIONAL. Could not use in small pipes with 90's smaller than 3" and trying to navigate the turn was almost impossible. Did like the range of camera view... 1.5" to easily see 8-9 feet in the cavity. Too bad it failed!!!

I happen to work in healthcare and know a thing or two about medical endoscopes, as well as other devices that are supposed to be navigated through tortuous courses. This unit has no tip deflection control, it is too stiff to follow the curves on it's own, yet it does not have enough rigidity to transmit torque to give it direction (this may sound contradictory, but it is not) So, 16 ft of cable become a liability, as you can not advance it 16 ft (or even a couple of feet) forward, and if all you need is to look behind the car engine - a mirror will do.

I often check the condition of my car, and then I can't see it with naked eyes in some gaps. I bought this product to make my inspection more convenient, and its imaging is very clear.

Located a washer that fell into the intake manifold throat area of Mercruiser six cylinder engine. Used a separate magnet to grab the washer. There appeared to be insufficient room to use the magnet attachment. Plus the current situation was not one to be experimenting with developing my skill with the attachment.The endoscope really solved a problem for me on the first use.Billy O.
