It Is Active, Not Passive
From the description, it was hard to tell what was inside the box. I was concerned that it would just be a handful of resistors in a summing bridge configuration. I am happy to report that the inputs are actively mixed and that the result is fairly low noise. As long as the microphone levels are reasonably high then this box will do the trick. Build quality is good with real through-hole components that should hold up to rough service. Our application was to sum two piano microphones into one house input and that works well. I like the variable trim level control. This little gem is a great gadget to put in your "get-out box". The Audio-Technica web site shows this product as discontinued so you had better act fast if you want one.I am including a photo of the circuit board in case you are as curious as I am.

impossible to find
These aren't made anymore, glad I found this one. Sums up condensor mics very well.

Affordable Low-Noise 2 to One Channel Adapter
I liked the way I could combine my top and bottom snare mics together in one signal path to send to a single channel to be equally affected by compression and eq and save on channel space. The +/- 6dB sweep between inputs seems a bit negligible and it would have been awesome if it had a polarity/phase switch built in; instead, I have to rely on putting an inline polarity/phase reversal adapter on the bottom mic to bring it into phase. Regardless, it’s a great piece for the money and I would recommend it to people who want to save money and channel space when combining top and bottom mics on their drum kits.

Does exactly what it is meant for
I needed a small mixer for two microphones, At8681 does it well even with two different types of microphones. One just need a DC block as one microphone could be damaged by the Phantom power used by the other microphone. Also the mixer requires phantom power to function. I use it in a Ham radio station and RF does not bother it. Works well sonically and sounds great.

If you want to cut the power to your PA then these are for you!
These work great and do what they are meant to do. turn one mic into 2. with that said, When plugged in i lost at least half my volume to all the mics. could not hear the vocals over music anymore so these are pretty much useless to me i have a couple of paper weights now.

Perfect for adding microphones to the Leslie cabinet
Does exactly what it was designed to do and does it well. We needed two microphones for the Leslie speaker, but only had one available input on our mixer. This combiner solved our problems. Easy to connect and small enough to not be an eye sore and easy to hide.

Great Solution
The Audio Technica name comes through in this device. It is very reliable and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Almost good
Connected well and doesn't add any noise. The blend knob doesn't quite cut it though. All the way left or right is only a slight cut of the other channel. It would be perfect if it completely cut or had more range.

Disappointed
This wasn't what I was hoping for. You seem to need extra gain on the mixing device you're using and then you get unwanted notice. The fade from one mic to the other doesn't seem to work well either.
