The wheelset is extra heavy and is not really 6061 aluminum. It is an alloy that a Chinese manufacturer labeled as "6061 alloy" which is extremely heavy. If it were real American standard 6061 then the wheelset would be half the weight. It is over 3 pounds! The fixed gear seems to be okay, but the freewheel used on the wheelset is defective and slips nearly every pedal stroke. Cyclingdeal accepted a return when I brought the wheelset to them and showed them the problem. If you change the freewheel to a good quality one and figure out how to get it off, and you don't mind the 3 pound heavy weight, then this could be a wheelset for you. The deep dish 50mm adds a lot of weight with the cheap Chinese alloy. I took the wheel to 3 bike shops and none could get the freewheel off, so I did so myself.
