Up to par with perfectionist leftie’s expectations
As a leftie, I have extra difficulties in the world of chirography, but this paper handles them beautifully! I wanted a set to write letters to my sweetheart during the lockdown we’re sure is coming in the autumn, and I was nervous I’d get paper that I’d need to pause for a minute or three per line of writing, for fear I’d smear it until the ink absorbed and dried. I’m very particular about my pens because of this (Love you, Pilot Precise V5s!!!), but they can only do so much if the paper is gross and glossy. >_< This paper did not take ages to absorb the ink, first win. It’s the biggest; I WILL swap out paper if I mess up on the first try too often. I’m enough of a perfectionist that I can’t just give my guy a messy love letter, no can do! This paper is also thick enough that with my preferred pen, I can write on both sides, which is so hugely important! I don’t mind spending a little extra on paper if I can use both sides! While some of the patterns look more believable than others, I really like the aged look of the paper. I’m going to actually crumple it up a bit for added seeming authenticity, earn some real wrinkles, but I like it. Since I’m sealing the envelopes with wax seals, and my guy loves all things old school, I figured he’d appreciate the touch of special paper. No small stationary notes for him, nope. Full letters, that look old, written on both sides, sans smudges, with added crinkles, a spritz of perfume, and a wax seal. What could be better? This paper is literally helping us live out a dream, wherein we can feel connected while circumstance keeps us apart. It’s an important task, and this paper is up to the job. I wish everyone well in their own adventures with this paper and hope they find it meets their expectations as it did mine. Stay safe out there!

Design is as described but there is a shine to the pages
Design is as stated but there is a shine to the pages. Still very useable just not really an "aged"look because of the shine.

Double-printed standard weight paper
The weight and quality of this paper reminds me of the Christmas theme printer paper that people used for printing their yearly Christmas letters (remember those?), but this paper has the design printed on both sides. It's not thick like cardstock, but it is thicker than copy paper or notebook paper. Printed scrapbook paper pads (the kind that use paper instead of cardstock) are about the same weight as this. As for the sheen, it is uncoated, not glossy, and feels slightly smoother than notebook paper. The shades range in darkness from a slightly yellowed to as dark as crinkled old brown craft paper. All the designs are light enough to print on without being hard to read. The papers tend to be darkest toward the outer edges just like real aged paper, but although the print quality is great, you can still tell that the "oldness" is printed on and it's not genuine old paper. Maybe if you crinkle it up and make the edges more dog eared it would look like the real thing. It is great for printing D&D handouts or character sheets, or for themed party invitations. It didn't say it was acid free, but I'll probably still use it for some of my multimedia paper crafting.
