BauerfeindMalleoLoc Ankle Brace - Size 1 - Left

I had polio and my left foot is deformed due to a short left leg. In the past year, my left ankle started to turn inward whenever I walk, causing pain after even a couple of minutes of walk. My mobility has been limited, and my performance in sporting activities has plummeted. I went to see a DO, and ordered Arizona Brace. Before getting it in a few weeks, I've been trying a bunch of braces. This one is by far the best. It gives my ankle the best support, and there is very little discomfort after a few days of use. There was some pain in the first couple of days because you need to figure out the best position to fit it, and your ankle/foot also needs to adjust to it. After that, I don't feel much pain at all.Now I found myself wearing it all day every day, even when I am at home. It feels like a new ankle for me. I found I can wear shoes that would feel uncomfortable to wear in the past. Most importantly, I feel comfortable walking for long distance. In the past I will hesitate to walk for even 5 minutes! My improvement in sports because of the brace is quite obvious.For people who needs support in their ankle, I regard this product a must have. I probably will prefer this to the Arizona Brace because this is so much lighter and compact.I tried Bauerfeind CaligoLoc, but it was extremely painful to wear. I also tried a few others, such as Muller. None is close to Malleoloc. It's pricier than others, but it's worth every cent.Update: after 6 weeks of use, I still think it's great for me. The only problem is that the straps have become less firm, and today the top strap became detached from main body and caused some issues. I guess I can order the replacement straps for $22. But the quality of the straps is a problem, and the cost of using these in long-term is really high now. For this reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5.

If there are any fellow Zebras out there looking for ankle/arch stability, this brace is 100% worth the cost. I have braces or support garments for my shoulder, ribs, hips, knees, fingers, wrists....basically a whole exoskeleton. These are my favorite. The don't just compress, but align. The material is very durable. It also does not absorb odor causing bacteria from your feet/shoes. You will likely have to adjust some of your shoes or even the type of shoe you wear. For me, it is totally worth it.

Way overpriced for what you actually receive. Painful for me to wear. Wasted expense.

I had the old brace and needed to replace them. The new ones had longer straps which is awesome because the old straps did not often stay. However, overall the brace is more cheap plastic. For the price paid it was very disappointing. I would not buy again.

This brace is low profile and fits in most shoes and under most pants. It is molded plastic and fully adjustable. It holds my surgically rebuilt ankle tight in place but is comfortable to walk in. I cannot run but I imagine that this brace is tough enough for most sports--coming from a basketball player :-) This brace is easy to clean and comfortable to wear without a break in period. I highly recommend it and I have been wearing nearly every brace on the market since 1994!!!

I got two of these braces. Both of them were twisted/warped so bad there was no good way to even consider wearing this.

My kids love the braces. My only concern is the detachable plastic hook, If they misplace it, the braces are worthless. Otherwise, great brave.
