This product saved me so much money! I hade a seam tear on my drivers seat chair along one of the seams. I decided to repair it. The kit made it so simple to fix. It looks great and it took me about 15 minutes to repair the tear. The thread was heavy duty so I feel confident the threads will be strong enough to hold the fabric over time. I am very happy with the results.

all the tread was loose in the box along with the thimble. the tread was much thinner and not waxed. I wanted it for fixing heavy-duty items and I do not think this thickness of tread will hold up. the needles came in a separate packet in the box so i assume the seller bought them separately and sold them as a kit. It would have been very nice to have some kind of container to keep it all in

I bought this kit to repair a zipper that had partially become detached from my Bimini top. This kit is perfect for that type of repair. I carefully hand sewed the zipper back to the canvas Bimini top and the repair holds like new. Only one slight areafor improvement: get a thimble that has a little more strength, as it was often difficult to get the needle through the canvas and the zipper without using considerable force. A standard thimble would have worked better than the thimble provided in the kit. All and all, a good product at a great price.

If you're like me, and, for example, don't have the desire or extra cash to buy a new backpack when a strap starts ripping, this set is a must. We're so used to throwing things in the trash heap when they can be repaired. After fixing my backpack (which is stronger now than before I bought it) I've since used this set to sew patches and pins on it too. It works really well with any heavy duty material, and the curved needle...I had never used one before this - what a great little invention that thing is! I like just having it around the house because the possibilities of what it can fix, reinforce, and embellish are almost endless.I'm a real consumer writing real, uncompensated reviews. Worked well, definitely did what I needed it to do.Only issue was one of the needles bent. I had to sew two straps on my punching bag back together, and the needle got through it, but it did get bent about half way through.Honestly I think the material was just too thick, and the items I was trying to sew back together WAS very heavy.
