Dam Good Coffee? Dam right!
I've traveled in Guatemala and found the best coffee to be in the Cobรกn region of Alta Verapaz. It's a strong, dark-roast coffee in Cobรกn with a fresh taste and a complex flavor. I'm not a connoisseur by any means, but this was great coffee, and every morning started with a wonderful black coffee.Back home, I wanted to find another coffee like that. Unfortunately, Amazon turned up nothing from Alta Verapaz, but this coffee caught my eye and I gave it a shot. When it came in, I grabbed my coffee grinder, ground the beans, put a bunch in my coffee maker, then added water and turned it on.Well dam. This is good coffee. It doesn't quite capture the bold taste of a fresh Cobรกn coffee, but it's easily the best coffee I've had since those days in Guatemala. Just bought a second bag and I highly recommend this coffee!

A bit expensive for just good coffee
This coffee is a good Guatemalan dark roast coffee; however, there are many good and some very good coffees priced under $19/lb and the DG coffee cost over $22/ lb.IMO The Purple Tractor coffee while being a medium roast, has more delicate flavors and is priced about 30% less on Amazon. In addition, if one wants a very good dark roast coffee then the "Death Wish" coffee beans are calling your name.I am 72, retired, formerly lived in Guatemala, and fresh grind my coffee beans each morning using a Baratza Virtuoso. I'm not a coffee snob but just like good to excellent coffee.

Dam Good Coffee is Dam Good Coffee
I made this coffee when I first bought it and my husband said, "This is damn good coffee. What is it?""Dam Good Coffee," I replied."No, really, what is it?""Really, Dam Good Coffee."He glared at me. I felt like I was re-living an Abbot & Costello moment. (yanno, the whole "Who's on first?" bit) I showed him the package. He laughed his butt off.True story. It really IS damn good coffee. Not too bitter, and the aroma is heavenly. I've purchased three or four bags now. Consistently, the coffee is always damn good.

Good Dark Roast and Flavor.
Good roast and flavor. Some may find these beans a bit too strong even for a dark roast. Not the best I have had but certainly not the worst. Would recommend this coffee to anyone looking for a strong, bold flavor.

Dam Good Coffee - -they ain't kidding
This is very good coffee. I grind fresh, brew in a french press and drink it black. It is so good that I had to give away 2 lbs of another brand because the difference, after this, was too stark. It is expensive, so I will still look for a less expensive option. Still, when I need a no fail choice, dam good coffee is just that

This coffee is supposed to be compatible with the Bulletproof program. It is a little "sharp" for me, but I found if I use the salted Irish Gold butter, it smoothes right out.

Roasted a bit too dark for my liking. As a result, I get a lot of fines in my grinder (Cuisinart CBM-18N) since the beans are more brittle being roasted so dark.Currently experimenting with shorter brew times in the french press to compensate.
