As a veteran auto electronic/ electrician, I cannot stand to see cheap sticky shinier tape on bodge repairs, so been using harness tape over my work, from bangers to BMW to Maybacs .I see from some people the lack of adhesion of the tape, well that is what it's made for, it's to give the loom room to move slightly and can be undone if needed,Just a helpfully hint, I tend to warm mine up prior to use by either in the cab on way to job, or on the engine if working, in the sun ( if we get any) or a gentle heat from a gas torch or heat gun and that tends to be enough to hold it nicely, I also double back at the ends to give it strength , cut the tape at 45° to get a nice finish, as I tend to go OTT on the look, as that's all the owner sees not the hours you've spend repairing the fault.Hope that info helps you out.

Owning a 40yr classic car requires a lot of time, money and quality tools/parts. I purchased this to recover parts of the wiring loom in my engine bay after upgrading the exhaust. The loom came pretty close to the exhaust so required some extra protection from the extreme heat. The tape's easy to apply and doesn't rip too easy on the roll so the use of a knife or scissors is required. Overall I'm happy that its another job complete and piece of mind my wires are protected.

Not quite as sticky as I'd like, had to wrap it really tight around wiring then use zip-ties at each end but the bits in the middle were still working loose. A little disappointing really. I guess you get what you pay for.
