bought it for my husband who is pretty tall 6'4" tall and 265 lb. Pretty tall but not fat guy with not a thin legs.it's challenging sometimes find pants for him that would look uglyhe usually wearing size 38 for pants I ordered 40 and it fits good. I would probably try 38 (because looks a bit baggy on a back) but he said it 's fine, he is comfortable in this size.it actually was pretty challenging to chase him to take pictures of his pants :)maybe will try size 38 in different color. not sure he can manage take care of such light color shorts

Purchase a size up
The material isn't too thick so it's comfortable to wear, a little stiff at first but after a wash it's great. The pair that I received, the button above the zip came out the pants completely as I was putting it on. The hole wasn't tight enough to secure it but a little sewing made it as good as new.

I love these shorts. This brand is one of the few who make slim fit in larger sizes. They have a great urban retro look and go great with my J's
