Ketone Breath Analyzer by Lexico Health, A Ketosis Meter That Will be Your Keto Diet's Best Friend, Monitor Your Ketones with an Accurate Test Kit, No Blood Strip Required for Precision Testing

I've just started out on my keto journey, so having something to track my ketosis was something pretty new to me. I looked through the options and it sounded like the urine strips were very hit and miss, and the blood tracking was pretty intrusive. After doing my research I found this monitor and I'm super impressed - it gets it right if I have a cheat day and is otherwise accurate.The one thing I'd recommend to people is not to drink water ahead of using the product. Given it reads acetone on your breath, you need to make sure there's nothing on your breath that will bias the reading. Lexico suggested doing it first thing in the morning which makes sense as a way of getting enhanced accuracy.I wouldn't expect this to be the exact same as a blood reading, but that's not what the seller promises either. It's breath acetone measurement, which is a great non-intrusive way of understanding ketosis. If you like that advantage, you'll like the product.

The Ketone Breath Analyzer I received is defective.There is a 20 second count down from the time you turn it on until it is ready for you to breathe into it. The meter I received performs this 20 second count down twice, every time. Removing and replacing placing the (new) batteries corrects the count down problem for one reading, then it reverts back to the double count down every time after that.In the product description (confirmed in the instruction manual), it states: "The packaging includes 10 mouthpiece refills for your convenience" - The box only contained 5 mouthpiece refills. Furthermore, the mouthpieces fall out easily if you tip the meter over beyond horizontal.Lexico Health (the vendor) brags: "🎯 ACCURATE BREATH ACETONE TRACKING: Our keto test kit has been rigorously analyzed by a professional device tester, and so we KNOW our analyzer is more accurate than other breath meters."Unfortunately, this meter's readings (as confirmed by other dissatisfied customers) are often wildly inaccurate. I use a Keto Coach blood ketone meter for accurate ketone readings. After I have verified with the Keto Coach that I am within the therapeutic nutritional ketosis range, this Ketone Breath Analyzer sometimes shows a semi-accurate result in the Green Zone, but often reports results ranging from "0.0" to numbers in the Red Zone within minutes of each other. This happens during the first morning reading immediately after I get out of bed, (it usually shows a result in the Yellow or Red Zone ?!) I also get unpredictable readings at all times during the day and night (at least an hour after eating or drinking anything, brushing my teeth, etc.). * Accuracy: FAIL. *Lexico Health also brags: 💪 CUSTOMER SERVICE TO DIE FOR: This is new technology, so we expect you to have some questions; If you don't understand your readings then it's no trouble, simply get in touch with us and we'll solve any problem you throw at us! ...and: "We also include a money back guarantee, to make buying our product risk-free for our customers."I have sent multiple emails to Lexico Health requesting product support or replacement at the email provided on Amazon, as well as through their website Contact page (same email address). NO RESPONSE. Nowhere do they provide a contact phone number. * Customer Service: FAIL.*So. My breath analyzer is inconvenient, inaccurate, unpredictable, and apparently non-replaceable because the vendor is unresponsive to my requests for product support.A number of reviewers have given this device 4-5 stars, so it is possible that you could get lucky and get one that works properly. But for me - Lexico Health has not lived up to their promises of a quality product and excellent customer service.Buyer beware.

As they disclosure and one would expect, it isn't 100% accurate compared to a blood keto tester. That's ok for me. Blood testing once a day is ~$1/day + meter amortized. For me, I'd rather use a breath meter twice daily for a year and buy another when I believe the device is no longer calibrated. Competitors require a $30 calibration fee after 365 blows. That adds to cost of ownership.I tested with several not in ketosis. 0.0I tested myself innthe morning over an hour:3.4, 2.9, 3.2. Good enough.I tested morning after a cheat evening. 0.0I tested after a good day. 0.4.I tested following evening. 1.2The relativity is more important to me than precision.I learned that a couple beers and a bite of rice knocked me out if balance for a period of time.Works as expected.

I just want to say, there is nothing I disliked about this. It is wonderful so far. I got very accurate readings right away. Easy to use. Comes with a little soft bag to store it in. This is my first keto meter of any type, although I am a diabetic so I use blood glucose meters. I poke my fingers enough, so I really appreciate this device being a breath reader.This meter is easy to hold, easy to read. When it is ready for you to blow, it will beep, and it only takes five seconds.Its really a great meter so far, and Im excited to be trying it out!

Frustrating! I’ve had it for a month now and can say that it is a pain to use. I have to blow into it no less than 5 ti 7 times to get a reading and you have to wait 20 seconds each time for it to reset. So I’m sitting there for a solid 2 to 3 minutes attempting to get one lousy reading. As far as accuracy I’m not really sure. I’ve been doing keto for months now and should be in full ketosis but it always shows me to be in light ketosis... so. Perhaps not so accurate. Some of the reviews here are great and they live this monitor so that why I chose it. Maybe mine is defective or there’s a trick to using this that I don’t know.
