AC welding rod 3/32 5 lb. Husband says rod welded really nicely. Worked as it should. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. 7018ac is smoother than 7018, smooth strike and it runs smoother than 7018 with lower voltage/amp
7018 is a nice weld, but they do require more voltage/amp to run. i accidently ordered 7018ac without realizing it. gave it a go and very happy with it. easy and smooth rod to work with.

I don’t weld much but these worked for what I needed. Getting ready to buy more

Pretty good
So far I've only used them on 110v side a of a dual voltage MMA welder. They do ok, I think they will be happier on the 220 side, as far as getting a good bead.

Runs amazing on Ac buzz box
If your looking for 7018 to run on an old ac buzz box just buy them. I was sceptical being Ive never ran 7018 on ac. However with these rods they strike easy and run smooth @ 125 AMPS. You will get porosity if the material isnt clean, but thats known with 7018. Also, I vaccum seal my 7018 in 10 rod packs n open as needed. No real need for a hobbyists to own a rod oven.
