Workes as it should. The locking button image (lock) is actuslly the image to open it. Buttons are reversed! May pose a safety hazzard.

OUTSTANDING piece of culinary equipment, we make fresh EVERYTHING for our family, the closure of the lid is second to none, just make sure that when you remove rubber sealing ring to wash , make sure that it dry and well seated before use. We LOVE it , take care of it and enjoy it.

Received the pressure cooker with broken handles the first time, got a replacement .2nd pressure cooker had the same problem. We were hoping to get just the handles replaced, as my husband really liked it, but we could not use without handles.

It is as descried but there was something missing

Just got this on Friday and on first use noticed that steam and liquid escape from the Safety Window even before the red pressure indicator pops up. The steam and spitting continued, so I turned it off. The "very poorly written" instructions say that if steam escapes, turn off heat and correct problem. I have no idea what problem needs to be corrected. The rubber seal seems intact, clean and in place. When the lid is locked in place, there is quite a bit of up/down play between the lid and pot. Seems like the locking arms should be pulling the lid down tightly against the pot. Maybe mine is defective. I am trying to contact the seller and will update my rating once I have more information. Besides this obviously problem, the unit looks well made and sturdy.
