Adrianna Papell Women's Short Sleeve Blouson Beaded Gown

I got the blush gold color for a Christmas Concert. I absolutely love this gown. I’m 5’ 5” (5’ 4.5” to be exact) and 133 lbs and I got it in size 2, size I normally wear from Adriana Papelle and it fit very well and very comfortable, plenty of room. I made the right decision by not sizing up. The only alteration was for length, half inch of outer material and 1” from lining. I read the reviews about the beading. My dress came in all beads intact but it did loose a few beads of a row in the back in the process of dry cleaning and trying on, I can’t say when. The gown came with extra beads and I fixed the one row in the back and reinforced a few that were loose. Totally worth it, the gown is delightful, just loved it, a total vision.

Beautiful dress, very flattering fit and bright price

Purchased as a formal mother of the groom dress. Was originally wary of the complaints about the fragile beading and the first dress I received, beading pulled out immediately as I was very gently unzipping the dress. Was able to exchange without any issue. Second dress had no issues with losing beads—held up to a seamstress hemming it and a full day of wedding events with travel to/from various venues. It’s not a dress you can be careless with, but my second experience was good. I think because it is hand beaded, the stability of the beading will vary. Received many compliments all day/evening and the dress is extremely flattering, flowy, lightweight, and comfortable. I sized up, based on the sizing chart, because formal dresses often run smaller and I wanted extra movement so as not to stress the beading. Highly recommend, especially if in between sizes or curvy/hourglass. Dress absolutely will require hemming unless you are extremely tall but the design allows for it. Perfect for a formal event or wedding.

Tried this dress, same brand at large clothing store and loved it but was badly damaged with tons of missing beads. Ordered this one same size but when it came it was a smaller fit than one at store. Not sure why but also concerned about the amount of bead damage I saw on one at store. Returned.

This was a beautiful dress that I wore to my son's wedding. It fit well, I'm about 180, 5'4" C cup size. BUT it lost beading within the first 30 minutes. At first it was 1 or 2 beads on the bedroom floor, I didn't think it would make a big difference in the general appearance of the dress. I drove to the church and when I got out, the car seat was covered in beads. Needless to say by the end of the reception I was missing several rows of beads. Definitely not worth it!

I just received my dress, stopped what I was doing and tried it on. I was nervous about it, too, wondering if it would fit and how it would fit. I figured any body bulges would be eliminated with shapewear, so if I could get it on without, I was home free. It fit like a glove! After reading some of the reviews (after I bought it), the sequin/beading issue kind of bothered me, but with the handy dandy bag of beads and sequins that came with the dress, a small sewing kit in my clutch, I should be good to go. My husband will help if I lose anything from the back and I can handle the front. Ladies, this is a reminder of what can happen with beads and sequins on clothing. Being prepared ahead of time is the key!

Love Adrianna and the dress didn’t disappoint on bit. Green was exactly like photo. Amazing price. Fit comfortable and true to size. Not heavy but not light.

I love this designer! This is the 3rd dress I have bought from her. This dress is good quality and well made. I bought the beige for my brothers wedding (photo is of me and my brother) And I bought the emerald colour for a ball, but poor lightingin photo. Only thing is that you do have to be careful of the beading. Mine all survived the event but still take care like you would any formal gown. So comfortable and I get so many compliments whenever I wear her dresses. I'm 166cm and 78kg. I bought Australian size 14 but I could of gotten away with a 12. It does touch the ground with 7cm heels. You can trim the length by an inch or two if really needed. Highly recommend to grab any of her dresses when on sale so you have them on hand!

I ordered this dress for our daughters wedding. I had my eye on it for many weeks but could only find it in Navy online and at the stores I went to. I needed green. Finally I did an online google search with photo and found this beautiful Dusty Green colour here. Who knew I'd find my perfect dress on Amazon and got it in 2 days. I was very careful to take my measurements and used the size chart. The dress fit like it was made for me. Very comfortable. The only thing I had to do was get it shortened. I am 5'2", 125 pounds, 38x35x40 and bought a size 14. I was very disappointed that during the ceremony a whole line of beads started falling off. Not sure this can be fixed.
