Worse than having nothing. Three hours wasted.
This is the first time I have ever had a cheap tool which was worse than having no tool at all. Do not buy this product; do not make the same mistake I did.To start with the the product arrived in a broken plastic case which the tools didn't even fit in properly. The large pipe expander came with a stripped nut making it unusable, but i didn't much care about that as I only needed the medium one. So I went ahead and lubed up the shaft and put it in my (non-stainless) exhaust pipe and started tightening the bolt. As soon as it felt like it might start expanding the pipe the nut stripped out. So I replaced the not with a much better one and started tightening again.Once again as soon as it got close there was a crack and the wrench became very easy to turn. I pulled it out and discovered that three of the outer rods had snapped. Wanting to give this damn thing another shot I attempted to weld the rods back together. The metal they were cast from was abysmal however I was able to grind them down weld them back together so that they were workable. I doubted the welds would hold but i figured what's the worst that could happen, even though everything about this tool was screaming "quit while you're ahead".So I tried one last time. I started tightening and the pipe actually began to expand very slightly before the wrench became far to easy to turn. Figuring the nut had stripped out I attempted to remove it. But, no mater how much I turned it the tool would not loosen up. I discovered later that the interior wheel thing had twisted in half leaving this thing stuck in my exhaust pipe. I spent the next THREE HOURS chiseling, grinding, and drilling this thing out of my exhaust pipe.Do not buy this product even if you are only going to use it once. The risk is not worth it.

Broke on First Use
Bought this to expand a tail pipe only slightly so that the OEM chrome tip would slide on a replacement muffler a bit tighter. I didn't need to expand it very much. I used the smallest one. It broke one of the expander legs nearly instantly. It just cracked in half (junk Chinese steel.) I greased it real good before use, too. One thing I would try differently is to not use it when it's only part-way inserted. I think either all or nothing is the way to go. It stayed together and I was still able to use it with the broken leg, inserted it fully into the exhaust pipe, and got just enough expansion out of it to reinstall my chrome tip but sent it back since it broke so easily.

Do not waste your money and time.
Do not buy! First me I used it Gaul deductible at the un-threaded end. Since there was no washers. Since I purchased this a year ago I decided to just fix it. So I repaired the poor design. Work that fixed, as soon as it actually started expanding the pipe (header flange adapter to standard exhaust pipe) it stripped the threads. I then realized it was made with a grade 1 nut! This is a poor design from the beginning; spend a little more money and get meeting which will work.

Works to re-round used pipe
Doesn’t work well enough to make a belled slip joint in new Walker exhaust pipe. It stripped the threads in the mid-sized tool, rendering it useless. If you’re RE-using a pipe or muffler or whatever it will help get clamp creases out for a new part to mate up but you will need to hammer some too.I’m very disappointed it won’t swell a pipe enough to create a slip joint without breaking though.

great if your scrapping them
these things are junk it broke on the first use

Terrible
Incorrect strength materials used, internal nut strips the first time you use it, the outer tapered die also chews out where it contacts bolt head due to material being too soft. Tossing up whether to modify with properly hardened parts or throw in scrap metal. Not really worth buying even if cheap.

Junk, cheap tool. Used this once to expand ...
Junk, cheap tool. Used this once to expand a tailpipe after a muffler replace. Spend the extra and get a quality OTC tool.

Buyer Beware
Very poor set of expanders. Cracked even after heating up the pipes. Tossed in trash and cut my losses, I would not recommend this poor set of tools to anyone. I should have heeded all the negative reviews.

You get what you pay for.
Nice packaging but pretty low quality items you get what you pay for found it didn't actually expand pipe more than 1/16 of an inch no matter how strong of an impact gun was feeding it.
